Received a voice mail message from this number. It's a recorded message that starts out "This message is for the business owner." They claim to be from Google, and go on to say " that the map showing where my business is located will no longer
be visible after this coming Fri. It's urgent that you return our call ASAP." I will not be calling them as I feel it's a scam.

Got the same message.  Also believe it is a scam.  Why wouldn't Google use the internet/email for contact?

Got the same message and called them. They were nice but it is a sales call. They want you to buy Google advertising. I said no thanks have a nice day. I asked if they were Google and the guy (Brian) said they were an authorized representative, fyi.

Another Telemarketer pitching Google listing. This guy "Will" was evidently caught off guard as there was a long, long pause, then he cleared his throat, then he gave the canned pitch. I pressed "1" to be connected to the sales person so I could tell him personally to remove my number from the list.

For all the good that Google offers, worldwide web searches in hundredths of a second, for example, this is is but one of the downsides to Google. Thanks Google. Great job Performance Management.

FYI- Google doesn't telemarket.  This particular company has been trying to scam several of my clients.  They do not represent Google.

I received two calls from 949-877-3476 first call on 7-6-15 & 7-7-15 stating To business owner as of Friday you will no longer be found on Google unless you call by Friday. The caller sounds like they are Google,  Would this be fraud at Its best

I  wish these SOB's would stop calling me three time a day foe a week now.  I do not have a listing with google maps and do not want to be listed on google maps.

Don't blame google. Google has nothing to do with these scammers.

I've left him (Brian) like 5 messages in his inbox. He'll get fed up with me eventually and stop calling me, because I'm sure he'll know how I feel.

I so replied and called this number back! I don't want my business to disappear off of Google Maps! I have a very prominent cat de-tailing business for those who don't want tails on their kitties. Very niche. If people couldn't find me on Google, I would be sad. They totally helped me when I called. They set me up with #1 Google ranking in my niche. I am now happy.

Just kidding. This never happened. The above was made up, just as the stupid recording with the guy who "clears his throat" to add some sort of level of casual presence to his recorded message. The dude they picked sounds like a total tool. I like the clearing of the throat, the authoritative tone when saying "excuse me" right afterwards, and the straightforwardness of the pitch and a sprinkle of urgency to call before Friday. Well done, phone scammer. But, I still deleted your message even before I googled your callback number.
