Scamming call saying they are the IRS, beware!!!

Scammers! Pretending to be IRS.

I received 2 calls today on my caller ID.
I picked up the 3rd call and they claimed to be the IRS.
They said I needed to return this call ASAP, with or without my attorney.
this is an urgent matter.

I received the same call & message. When i questioned the authenticity of the lawsuit claim they stated if i would rather get the information from the local sheriff's office that was fine with them and basically hung up on me. Which sent me to the internet for more info on the phone #. Definitely a scam.

Stated to be a call from IRS and not to disregard the call or else an action will be taken. CID: California Call.

I received an automated call from this number this morning posing as the irs. The automated call said that they wanted me to call some number back. I didn't get to copy the number since I was waking up to the call. They repeated the number twice. I tried to call the number that called me and it rung then hung up. Then I called back and it said your call has been transferred to voice mail.  (949) 945-7136

Scam...some low life trying to put on an accent and let me know that I will be arrested.

Same as everyone else. Have had 3 calls, two today. Called back, some guy answered saying Internal Revenue Service, I hung up right away. I knew this was [***] and typed in the number and of course it's a scam. Dirt bags....

Received this call on my cell phone!..how do these scams get our numbers ???!!

It looks like is a phone scam. The Robocall said "I'm officer Nicki Johnson from the Internal Revenue Service and the hotline to my division is 9499457136, I repeat is 9499457136. Don't disregard this message and do return this call before we take any action against you. Good bye and take care.
I called back to get a badge number or any useful information but they dropped the call after the second ring.

I also received message and try to contact multiple times saying the same message, but continue to hang up. One time I heard a t.v in the background. Definitely not the IRS.

I returned the call and they answer "Investigations Bureau for the IRS" - that should be you're first clue this is a scam.  All IRS initial contacts are by letter. Absolute scam.

Confirmed Scam ,   Get a Real Job you [***] Parasites of the world, There"s a special place reserved  for you scumbags !   Your lucky I dont know where you and your Family lives .

Voicemail from these scammers kinda freaked me out, but I figured it had to be a lie.

Yes, got the same call. Gave a number to call, didn't get it.  Used caller ID to return the call.  They said they were the IRS and I did I have a lawyer yet.  I said no, they hung up.  I called back, they picked up then hung up before talking, now it is a phone answer box.  I went to the IRS web page and see that there is a big phishing scam.  But other than my name and phone number, what did they get?

I also receive a call from a Mrs, Johnston telling me this is the IRS and not to delete this message and its imperative I get back to the. Trace the number to California and I also read this is a major scam.
