- Who Are you Trying to Kid?Woman with an accent calls at 10:20 p.m. from this number and says that my windows program is compromised. Asked if I was the owner of the house and the owner of my computer and windows program, thought I would play along and said "Yes". She then proceeds to tell me what the license number is of my computer, she asked to check to see if the same license number showed on my computer. She asked me to press the Windows key on my keyboard and then press the letter "R" at the same time and asked if I saw a box with the license number and asked if the number was the same or whether it was off by one or two digits. I then pretended that I had pressed the keys that she directed me to press but Oh My Goodness!! Something was very wrong I told her, she then said what is wrong are you pressing the right keys, I said Yes, but something is very wrong and she with what Me? or Your Computer? I then became dramatic and said Oh My the screen is now blank and then it switches to a white screen and it is keeps going back and forth between the two screens. At this point she seemed irritated and said did you even switch your computer on? I asked her why are we going through this exercise, her response was, "What, have you just been wasting my time, tell me, have you just been wasting my time?" I said to her, I want to know why we are going through this exercise, her final statement to me was, "Go to Hell, you just go to Hell!!" and then she hung up, too bad she did not hear me laugh. ;-)

- RobertThis is a scam. They say they are receiving security alerts from Microsoft and ask if Im the owner of the computer. They've been calling regularly and sometimes after 10pm. Sounds like the call is coming from India or Pakistan based on the accent of the caller.
