i didnt pick up. it just says moreno ca. i dont know anywhere there but they call everyday a few times a day.

Called back -- it's Capital One debt collection.  Recording from a woman named Linda saying they have some special offers for me (meaning payment plans I can't afford).

Didnt recognize the number but I answered and then it took awhile for someone to respond and when they did they ask for me and I said speaking and the person hung up( it sounds like a person calling from a different country, as usual).

I didn't answer letft no message, but some called before and said she was Linda from capital one.

This is how Capital One gets you to pick up the phone, they uses a local area code so you don't know it's a collection department.

No caller ID, but I called the number back and it was Capital One

Keep getting this one on my cell phone. It rings twice then hangs up. I can't answer it fast enough. Nothing on caller ID. I am pretty sure it is Capital ONe but if they don't let it ring long enough to answer I am sure not taking the time to call back.

I answered because it said Capital One and I have a Cap One account. After a very long pause, a woman asked if this was Sarah (no last name). I said yes. She paused again a long time, then hung up. I've not used the account at all since they jacked up my interest rate for no reason about 18 months ago. I'm a bit puzzled what this was all about.

Left me a voicemail... it was clearly automated message saying it was Wanda from Capital One. Yesterday got the same message from the same "voice" saying it was Linda from Capital One, but the phone number was 215-977-7223.

I have recieved many messages from Capitol One same thing Different numbers too.

This call came from Capital One (I'm assuming since it's the same number as listed in the comments on this page). They didn't leave a message. I have already reported their other number as well that keeps calling. I do not give my work phone number out, so I know this is not legit.

We don't know who Capital one is calling for. They have the wrong phone number for whomever it is. No one here owes Capital One money. We only answer for one person from Louisiana.

They've been calling 24/7 from my job and cell phone, one guy calls himself Roy. From Medtex MDM

I just got the call from them says MORENO CAL  and i never pick up anything unless i know who it is otherwise they can go talk to my answer machine because  9 times out of 10 it is some scam artist from another country and if i want or need to talk to someone  or pay a bill of  a account i deal with i will call them my self .....I would never ever answer a call of someone i do not know i just let the machine do it's job that is why it is there ....I am so sick of these stupid calls .....!!!!!!

calling from capital one said my mother opened up an account in nov. last year. my mother died dec 1st of last year and was comotose in the hospital before that. siad that the account was 155 days late. i said it was a fraudulent card. this [***] wanted to argue with me that my mother applied for the card before she died! i said i wanted to speak to someone in the fraud department. she transferred me 2 days ago... i'm still on hold

i think linda should date jack from byl.  lol

We aren't late with any payments but "Debbie" from Capital One wants to make us aware of New Opportunities. We were getting calls up up to a dozen a day, pick up, no one on the line. Finally, I just got fed up and yelled at someone to speak to me, which he finally did but he refused to talk to me, it had to be directly to my husband then That Voice stated yelling at me so I hung up.

The next day after the third or fourth call my husband, who works nights and sleeps in got a call from "Debbie" who said that without a written form letter signed by him from CapOne, they would continue to call us even though we requested they stop. So until we get the form, fill it out and send it in, they will keep calling and calling and calling. It's all up to them at this point since they might only send out the form, say once a month. It's been a week, and so far, no form, just more harrassing calls.

I'd cancel the card but the way things are, they might just buy up the next three cards I might get and be back in the phone cycle again. So while I've been ill with some pretty serious medical conditions and waiting for doctors to call me with results and keeping my family apprised of my condition, or just getting rest, I have to screen every single call all day.
