- Moni| 8 repliesThis number calls me at least three times a day and NEVER leaves a message! Stop bothering me PLEASE. I can't figure it out either, being I am registered on the no call site..
- Tamianth replies to Moni800notes is not affiliated with your callers, we are not calling you either. 800notes is a forum for reporting who calls you and any information you may have about the call to share with other forum users. It is highly doubtful that your callers are reading here also. We can't stop anyone from calling you either or remove from a list.
Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

Said they were California Green Energy.
I hung up.- Caller: California Green Energy
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Bill replies to Moni| 3 repliesThe Do Not Call Registry is a total wasted joke. Does not stop calls and does not follow up on complaints.
- DCLthanks all...I blocked the #
- John R| 1 replyBeen getting a lot of calls from 951 area lately (several from 951-298-9515), sometimes 5 calls a day, and they never leave a message. As of today, I have changed my outgoing voicemail to a dis-connected recording, hoping that either the auto-dialer will detect the tone and remove me from their list, or that someone will actually pick-up, hear the recording and flag my number as inactive.
Knowing that most of these are likely spoofed numbers, I'm not sure about the usefulness of reporting them, although I may continue to anyway.- Caller: Solar Energy
- Call type: Telemarketer
- CWG40 replies to Bill| 2 repliesActually people are prosecuted for violating the DNC list. The system isn't perfect and will not stop determined scofflaws and criminals.
- Resident47 replies to John R} I'm not sure about the usefulness of reporting them
Reports suggest to us that someone is generating sales calls in violation of the Telemarketing Sales Rule and Telephone Consumer Protection Act and other federal and state laws. The illegal actions would likely include the use of a system capable of random and sequential dialing, playing prerecorded call content, making false and deceptive claims, failing to transmit accurate Caller ID, and of course the Caller ID spoofing. We can surmise from the "solar energy" call category that someone who takes the bait will be visited by hack installers and maybe subject to recurring "service fees" for no real service. Those gypsy contractors may not know or care how they get their sales leads, but either way benefit from lawbreaking conduct.
The above and more makes useful intelligence for anyone who would like to avoid being suckered by frauds, for call recipients who would like some payback in court, and for state and federal law enforcement agencies. If you don't report a problem, no one can know there is one, capisce? - Paula Clark replies to CWG40| 1 replyI've reported hundred of numbers to no avail. I think the only ones they do anything about are if you've answered and know who they are. I'm not answering the phone calls from these leeches.
- Mary| 1 replyCall constantly. I picked up and the guy was in middle of conversation with fellow worker telling him how a lady said she was gonna report them....then he hung up on me...interesting...he said, to the guy, American Solar...is this the company calling?
- Caller: American Solar?
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Mary replies to MaryOh, and I called them back only to get a disconnect message.
- jpCalls daily multiple times today at 830am. I dont pick up!! Unless you know me why would you call before 9am? I could work nights.
- John R| 2 repliesThis call center is relentless, 15 calls to my number in just over 2 weeks, many times up to 3 calls in a single day. Tried many tactics to discourage them, including using the non-operational SIT signal at the start of my voicemail, changing my voicemail entirely to a dis-connected recording. I have found some relief from the constant interruptions by using the "Do Not Disturb mode" (on my Vonage line). I have made 15 individual reports on this number to donotcall.gov .
I have found some interesting info on auto-dialers and may use calls from these idiots to experiment, with the goal of wasting at least a few seconds of their trained tele-monkeys time each time they call.
The following link provides some technical info, of particular interest is "Answering Machine Detection", the goal to tailor your outgoing VM message to fool the auto-dialer into determining that a 'live person' has answered, and transfer the call to an agent, therefore wasting their valuable time, and possibly (eventually) getting removed from their list.

- Luci replies to John R| 1 replyInterestingly enough, I have found a web site which identifies where mobil numbers are originated. This number, and many others I receive, shows India. Somehow or another, they use a number that is a legitimate number, but no longer in service in the state, so it shows as a California number. If you go to this site: xombom.com and type in the mobil number, without dashes, it will show the carrier and the point of origin: which area of India!
- Mari| 1 replyOne of many calls from this number which the caller identified as California Green Energy, a So Ca company, trying to sell solar power to me. Caller ID showed 'unknown number'. When I told the young lady who called that I am on the Nat'l Do Not Call list, she replied that the Do Not Call list is a fake and doesn't exist. I explained that it most certainly does exists. If the scammers are telling their employees that the Do Not Call list doesn't exist, then the employee will not listen to the person to whom they made the call. I actually feel rather sorry for the employee, who is probably thankful to have a paying job, and yet is lied to by her employers. But I hate those calls!
