called my cell phone, didn't leave a message. i called back and all it did was play music, no one on the other end.

same as other reported, had a call on my cell phone and no message left. When I called the number back, just heard music playing

just got a call from them too, some eastern european voice recording saying "Congratulations your number has been selected..." then i hung up

OMG! This is weird, who are these people, what do they want? I also live in B.C. I called them back but hung up after 10 seconds when I only heard music. They called my cell number which I find very strange, it's not listed. Since I am not the only one, I'm going to notify my phone provider just incase this is a money scam and they try to charge expenses through my cell phone bill.

this number just called my cell.  Since I added my number to the do not call list I've been getting more calls on my cell. (my cell is on the DNC list too!)

My fiance and I both received calls from this number today on our cell phones. Must be some kind of telemarketer. We're in Canada and we both use Telus. Maybe that has something to do with it.

i also recieved a call from this number on my telus cell phone. i called it back and nothing but music. whats going on?

I got the call too. I'm from BC using Telus.

He says, "Press one to receive your personal gift."
I did nothing and then again (in a different tone of voice) he goes, "press one to receive your personal gift."
I waited and then he hung up.

Funny thing is I could hear him hang up! What an idiot.

I think it's the Press One Scam that I've been hearing about lately. Google it. They call pretending to be an automated voice. Then they use your long distance through you and you get billed for it. I'm not certain but it sounds close enough.

I read these posts before calling the number back 'cause I was miffed. I leave my phone on during the day while I'm at work for emergencies only, so I'm getting frustrated with all of these damn marketing related calls from the U.S. Anyway, I called it back and got the music like a lot of you did, but waited for about 25 seconds and actually got someone live. I asked why I was getting calls from that number on my PRIVATE cell phone and she said it was because either I or someone I knew had signed me up either through their website OR at a kiosk and my number had been selected to win the trip or something. Riiiiiiight. I said, "Uh, no thanks! Please remove me from..." and she hung up on me. LOL
