- Silvia| 1 replythis number was on a post card with a "notice of parcel on hold" ...
- BrittanyGot the same post card in the mail. Called the number and it went to an answering machine asking for your name and phone number. I did not leave a message. Threw the card in the trash. Then, a few hours later I got a phone call from them. I did not answer the phone. They left no message. Hopefully it will end here.
- Anny| 1 replyThanks for this. I was going to call but thought not to.
- Dom replies to AnnyI received the same card. It looks bogus so I'm not even going to call.
- JoeSame thing post card saying 3 days to pick something up, mine came right after I purchased my house
- Caller: Scammers
- UPDATE replies to SilviaUPDATE - Got in contact, basically you call the number and they say "Hello" and when asked who I am calling, they say "Did you get a postcard?" Then they ask for the Certified number, and they say "Its a welcome to the neighborhood gift from GE, you get a free case of water and a free dinner at the olive garden, and at the same time, they come in and do an analysis of your water etc. etc.
Basically its a way to get a company in your door like a telemarketer gives you free hotel room too watch a presentation. lady was very nice, but still I feel like it is ridiculous. - John DoeSame card same number. Right after a house purchase as well. Thank you very much for satisfying my curiosity!
- Caller: GE Apparently
- Barry N| 1 replyyes, right after a hpuse puchase. but phone number 951-290-1287
- Kelly replies to Barry NJust got the same postcard... 951 290 1287 was the number too. Saying I have a parcel on hold. I called and left a message, the lady on the voice mail had a thick Asian accent so I couldn't understand her. Seems weird. Anyone get in touch with these people lately? Is it legit out some scam?
- ViriI received one also, after moving into our new home. It was a pink post card and said it it was a final notice. IT had a 925 area code which is N.California.
- LorenzoI got one of these cards last week. It was pink with a "final notice" making it seem like it was important. I called and reached a voicemail and left a rude message saying if this is a company trying to sell me something, don't bother and don't send me something in the mail looking misleading and official. I ripped up the card and tossed it in the trash and ten minutes later I got a call from a woman telling me that it was a promotional offer and I had a choice of a $25 gift card to a few places. I chose olive garden and she said that all they needed was 20/25 minutes of my time to check my water filters in my home. I just purchased my house 4 weeks ago. I'm guessing that's why I received the card.
