English speaking man with Indian accent calls daily telling my house machine that there are charges pending against my ss number.I ask him why his phone sounds like a bad cell phone and he tells me it is his home office line. He states his name is James Patterson

Judge Dredd sez- A threatening phone call is a pile of dung! It is not legally binding. The Judge doesn't phone you in advance! If they won't give it to you in writing - then this scam is busted! ...and tell them so!

According to law enforcement this is a scam. There are several numbers used all from the same area code and the people on the other end even say about the same thing. I have reported this to law enforcement and they (as usual) do nothing to stop it. I have now had my number changed and hopefully this will stop once and for all. These people are getting real annoying and I'm about to fly out to California and deal with them face to face. It won't be pretty.

If you actually did the tiniest bit of research, YOU WOULD know that these scammers are NOT IN THE US - they are calling from INDIA therefore local law enforcement are UNABLE to do anything about it

It not as you stated "(as usual) do nothing to stop it"  They cannot stop something that is not happening locally.

I get calls from this number on a daily basis, sometimes multiple times a day all right in a row. He leaves the same message everyday, it is clear that he is reading from some kind of script as his words are exactly the same. I can barely understand him because his accent is so strong, is this guy for real? How can these people get away with this? They are telling me I’ve received some of complaint against my name and SS#. What the heck?!?! Where did he get my information?!
