Voicemail with nothing but hold music in it for several minutes

Call our office claiming to represent several of our clients, but failed to identify himself.  The individual was somewhat pushy on the phone about spoeaking with the owner.

Very rude, very pushy snake oil salesman claiming to guarantee a #1 position in hundreds of search engines! What a [***] because he is calling a legitimate SEO/SEM company! Then has the nerve to call back! Don't even bother answering...

They call me every day offering internet website placement. I told them polite they not to call me. They keep doing the same. Avoid to bad I don’t know where to report so they can shut down this kind of shady operations.

Called because he "has clients that he needs to direct to a tax advisor or accountant if needed.

The same company called me with the first number displayed on my caller ID as 000-000-0000.  I spoke with a man with so thick of a middle eastern accent that it was bearly English.  I pried a telephone number from him because I told him I could not understand him.  He gave me 800-285-0484 which also belongs to E-local Listings.  This is a marketing firm with 25 offices nationwide and at least one office in Pakistan (according to their supervisor).  I called them back and pushed 1 for customer service.  i asked Clarissa to direct me to the person who would take my business number off their call list.  She mumbled under her breath which i am sure was an obsenity and hung up on me.  I immediately called back and pressed 2 for sales.  Well dontcha know they wanted to talk to me (lol).  I spoke with Noah and told him of the first call that I could not understand and told him if you are going to solicit me over the phone you should at least hire people that could speak fluent English.  Then I told him about ole Clarissa hanging up on me.  He sent me to his supervisor who told me he was pulled out a meeting because he wanted to speak to me and resolve my issues (ha!) He was very polite and I told him the long story and everything that happened while I was talking to his people.  He apologized, was supposedly gonna go and "have a talk" with Clarissa and told me they do have a Pakistan office.  He then told me he would take my number and put it on his do not call list but it would take up to 30 days to filter down to all of the 25 offices, which tells me it will never filter down(lol).  We will see. While I was on the phone with the "supervisor" another call beeped in and I *69'd the call after I hung up with him.  It was 951-541-0380...yup you guessed it - they called me AGAIN in attempt to solicit again while I was on the phone with their supervisor. So much for that "do not call" automatic internal list of theirs.

These people call every other day asking for the owner and for some strange reason they always have customers in my area that need help.

Company called me offering top listing on Yahoo, Google, and other search engines. Took a few days to get up after signing up for a dollar for their trial period. They delivered, I got top placement as well as a unique video that my clients see. I read the comments above and my recommendation is give elocal a chance. Plus if you go to their site you can see their listings. They helped me, so don't believe everything you here.

Theese Idiots keep calling trying to solicit us for business, telling us they have customersthat are looking for us blah blah blah, funny thing just as the other guy listed up to the top earlier we are a legitimate SEO company as well.. and guess what ha ha, we sent them into the realm of PORN.. nice huh.. going to build them some horrid back links so their stuff never gets to the top of any engine.. basically they have called our business every day asking for the owner and being rude or pushy, they never get there because I am the owner and I answer the phone and why would I ever do business with a company that treats my people like crap?? They just want your money and can not deliver, we had a neighbor use them and actually get way over charged on his credit card and is still having trouble resolving the issues.. E-local is Garbage!! This is not a venting forum just beware of them, it takes alot for me to get upset and leave a posting here that is about a company ina negative manner, but for the people that are called by this number do not give them your business.. their number is 1-951-541-0380 and yes they employ rude and sleezy people.. If you do dont say you were not warned....

Yup. They keep calling me on my cell phone even though I told them not to call for solicitations. They're just running up my minutes.

I've received a couple calls from two different young and uneducated telemarkets. By nature, I'm vigilant, so it didn't take more than a few seconds to know that they were calling from a "boiler room" operation.
After realizing they weren't going to get a sale, they rudely hung up.

I am a client.  I was put straight to the top of yahoo and google by this company.  In four months my sales have doubled and I have had to hire two people.  They may be pushy but they get you results.

I received a couple of calls from elocal listing and decided to try them out a few weeks ago.  They told me I'd get seen on the first page of Yahoo in 3 weeks and Google in 2 months.  They also put up a video of my company.  So far, I've only found myself on Yahoo with a few keywords, but my video is on Yahoo and Google.  The video isn't great, but it did get up pretty quickly.  They called me and went over everything with me last week.  Now to see if I get any customers.  I've only received two calls through them so far...

I really do hope I will be happy with them too, since I just signed up with them yesterday!!
