Called asking for the model number off of the photocopier. Like I didn't think it was a scam. Really.

Same thing.  Lady calls and asks for the codes off of my printer.  She said that she was from the distribution place.  WHAT?  When I asked her again what she wanted, she quickly said it again.  I told her that I don't know what she wants or who she is with, and that I don't have time for this.  She hung up quickly.

Should I call the police?

got a call from Panoptic, girl wanting to verify the model number from my fax machine, when I asked her what she thought it was, she quickly hung up.  It's definately a scam.

Called on October 13, 2010 - asked for the model number of the photocopy machine.  I hung up as it's clearly a scam.

Lady called asking for number on front of cartridge on printer. And hung up on me when I asked her why she needed that.

A lady named "Melissa" called our shop, said she needed our photo copier number and asked if I knew where it was. I told her we didn't have a photo copier and she said "oh, I meant your fax machine." I replied that we didn't have a fax machine either and she immediately hung up. What a worthless idiot. Definitely some scum of the earth trying to scam people.

Michelle called from 951-547-3974 and said that we weren't notified of a toner price increase effective 05/01/13.  Said that she had one toner she could send out at the old price of $439.00 each.  I didn't give her any information but as soon as I questioned what company she was with she hung up on me.  I have tried repeatedly to call her back at this number but keep getting disconnected.  I'd better not receive a toner cartridge!

THIS IS A SCAM! They say prices have changed for supplies for your Konica Minolta printer, but they hang up as soon as you say you pay monthly.
