I received a call on mycell phone.Thefirst male I talked to I couldn't understand him so I hung up and call back and another male answered the phone with a thick accented representing a law firm named 'Customer Affairs and Business Relations'; stating that I must act immediately to avoid legal action in the state of California, County of Los Angeles. The man called himself Mr. Nathan Rice and stated that I was being sued and that the paperwork would be downloaded to the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles, Courtroom 16 within the next several hours.  Additionally, within the next 6 hours, a sheriff's officer would be at my place of employment to serve and arrest me for this case. During the call; Nathan read an affidavit that was to be filed charging me with three criminal offenses.  1) Violation of Banking Regulations; 2) Fraud by issuing Bad Checks and 3) Theft by Deception.  A civil suit matter with criminal charges referenced didn't seem appropriate.  The suit was for $3,500.00 and could be avoided if I made immediate payment of $495.00.  He quoted my name, email address and the last 4 of my SSN. When I stated to question case numbers, company name I owe and when I stated I was about to contact my bank the man got really upset and told me thats enough about my case and I will be arrested soon on these charges. So be aware of scammers. I closed my account.

Same exact thing happened to me today. They didn't know I've been living in Canada for the last 20 yrs. I despise these people. I feel so violated. I called my bank and reported them to the FTC, who claimed it was a scam, so please why don't they stop it from happening already. Come on FTC!! Catch them scammers (but thanks)

I will be contacting the police in Corona/Hemet/Riverside to inform them that someone is using this number to perform extortion under false pretense. Hopefully they can smoke out this operation, as I have done nothing wrong.

I was contacted by a David Cooper who had a Indian accent.  He stated that I owed $945.37 to some Insta-Cash.  He stated that this was an online transaction and that I had failed to repay.  I was told that his office was processing paperwork that would be sent to the police department and an officer will be out to arrest me and that I would be extradited back to California.  My employer would also be notified and of course I will lose my job.  So I questioned him as to the date this transaction took place all he could tell me was prior to Sept. 1,2011.  He had my full SSN and the bank I use as well as my email address.   I stated that I had no prior notification as to any delinquency to this so called account.
His response was that it was probably sent to spam or I could have thought it was spam and overlooked it.
So I asked what form of repayment is acceptable he stated a prepaid debit card and that I could pay online.  When asked where online do I go to repay he immediately said no just pay over the phone to him.  And that he could not give me anymore information.  He hung up on me two or three times.  I was given a reference number of MW3396ABHI.  I also asked for the number of the police department that he would be contacting.  He refused to answer became irate with me and hung up.  I was told that I had until 3pm today.
My whole life flashed before my eyes.  This upset me to no living end.  Still in shock.   Luckily I had family and friends looking out for me which is why I am on this site now.  Please be mindful and be very aware.  Something needs to be done about this before someone actually has a heart attack from this scam.

The previous post was scary in that the person being called just didn't hang up.  It's a scam.  Hang up.

they call me talking bout lawsuit for money

i have been dealing with this scam for awhile now. india speaking man calls from different numbers and says all kinds of crazy stuff. today me having a different number he called and left a voicemail couldnt understand him at all. usually regarding social and name and he is a lawyer and cops will be at house.  he seems to forget that he called before. be careful and watch out

dealing with these jerks now, and they call and call and call and if u try to call back ,,, u get  'welcome ypu have  $0.00 bal" they have called me several  and i mean several times today.  I also started to ask  questions and they cant answer them. Im  very very sick of these calls ... Roy is calling me!

SOOO, i have continued to call them as much  as they call me and I just caled a b****  are you kidding  me  SO UNPROFESSIONAL.  I am appalled and this is out of control.  So when they call you, do them the same way they do ypu, then they  wil block you from THEM calln you (idiots, and you calling them)   sad Im  31 and have  to act like a  2nd grader but hey  so beit, cant get help elsewhere, im going to take matters in my own hands

I got a call from them today and spoked to a Nathan Rice. He immediately ask for my lawyers name and number . I ask why the repeated calls and he says it from a payday loan that I took out. When asked the name of the payday loan he said it was 'known of my business' lol. Im like well if they are suing me about the loan why cant I know the name if their company. He hangs up so I call back and he makes up a name saying CashAdvanceUSA. I thank him and hang up.

I received 2 calls. ZCould not understand what the hell he was saying and told him to either speak fing enlish or get someone who did so I could find out what this is in regaurds to.

I think I should take a drive to Cornoa, cali and find this [***] and let him know what justice is...I would like to report him/them to whomever, then go kick the [***] out of them.

I JUST GOT A CALL FROM THEM TODAY AND THEY TOLD ME THE SAME THING ABOUT THE THREE CHARGES. I STAY IN FLORIDA AND AM BEING SUED IN CALIFORNIA. I WAS ONLY IN CALIFORNIA ONCE FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES AND THAT WAS FOR A LAYOVER ON A FLIGHT FROM LAS VEGAS. SO I CALLED THE COMPANY MY LOAN STARTED WITH AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT IT WAS A SCAM. I THEN CALLED EACH COMPANY MY "ACCOUNT" WAS SOLD TO AND THEY ALL REFERRED  ME TO THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION. AFTER FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THEM THEY REFERRED ME TO MY LOCAL STATES ATTORNEY OFFICE. THEY THEN ASSURED ME THAT IT WAS ALL A SCAM. NOW I JUST WANNA FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB BUT I DONT THINK THATS POSSIBLE. SO I THEN CALLED MR RICE BACK AND PLAYED ALONG WITH HIM AND THEN I DROPPED THE BOMB ON HIS PARADE TOLD HIM WHAT I DID AND THEN HUNG UP ON HIM.

I recieved a call lastnight and i could not understand what this guy that goes by Justin was saying.. He asked me if i had a lawyer and told me that i had to appear in court today, i asked him to slow down what do i need to go to court for he stated that he could not speak to me about the debit that he was speaking of... I am not sure what is going on but something in that milk is not white...... I will be contacing my lawyer today to inform him of this call....

he just called back for the 5th time, & i told him i called the police, he started pushing buttons on the phone over & over, he is a nuts, please everyone stay updated on here, watch your back, your bank, etc... & any new things please speak on them, u never know he might try something, he is out of control, but it could be allot of them, u cant trust nobody these days, but god

Called my cell phone asked for my attorney info I was being sued in LA County, but he calls from a 951 area code #. Accent very strong and hard to understand. I hung up on him . He called back one more time and I didn't answer he left no message, I believe he used the name Roy
