Received a call from this number. The man stated that he saw my resume on a job posting site and wanted to ask me a few questions. my cell phone was about to die so i told him i would call him back. When I called the number on my caller ID there was an error message that states "the number you have reached is no longer in service".

Maybe they get your information of the job site and ask you for all of your personal information... Be very aware.

I am a Canadian. I received a call at my home in Canada from this number. They told me they were from Universal Studios Disney in Orlando FLA and that I had won a trip. First odd thing is this area code is NOT Orlando buy rather Fort Lauderdale. Secondly the rep knew my full name, my Canadian zip code as well as bith date and that I had a Master Card. She continued to say that I had filled out an offer (I am certain I have not). I let her talk a while, asking which company she was from but never seemed to get a straight answer. She gave me her operator number and first name. I didn't trust this caller at all and said I would pass on my supposid winning....Be careful with this company, got a bad feeling

My mom uses YAK phone service to call me long distance. But whenever she calls, it still usually shows up as her phone number. But this time, I was surprised to see this number and then her voice on the answering machine. I picked up while it was still recording and asked my mom if she had done anything differently. She said she hadn't. I'm wondering why a Florida number would show up when my mom was calling from a Canadian phone number to a Canadian phone number.

I got a phone call too. I missed it, but there was no voicemail. Freaked me out since I live in Canada and it's a Fort Lauderdale number.

I am Canadian and on the National DNC list. This is a telemarketing company. They probably have contracts with multiple companies. The guy said his name was 'Max' from AC Duct cleaning. When I asked them for a phone number to reschedule an appointment for my ducts to get cleaned he became overly aggressive with me and would not provide me with a callback number.

I just received a call from this number they call them self Premium Buyers Club and said i won a crusie and to claim the prise i have to come to pick it up. and the guy wont stop calling me. beware its a scam

I just got a call from this number a couple of hours ago. I'm Canadian and I recieved the call on my "Canadian" Cell Phone. There was a msg left, but it was a very brief second of background sound and then a hang-up. My home phone is Vonage, so I am wondering if that is one way of these jerks getting personal info.

I received a call from 954-217-0000 on my Canadian cell phone on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 4:30pm EST.  I missed the call.  No voicemail left.  Very odd that I would get a Florida call on my Canadian cell phone.  I'm American, but am currently residing in Ontario.

phone call came in to my mobile phone. I am a canadian resident. Ignored the number and then researched it for being so unfamiliar. Came across this blog.

I got a call from this number at on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at around 6pm PST. I answered it but oddly there was no one on the other end. Like the person above, I thought it was a bit bizarre getting a call from Florida on my Canadian mobile.

Got a call from these clowns 30mins ago, message said "to claim your prize press one" and that was it.

Yep, I live in Vancouver BC and got a call 2 mintues ago from this number. They left no message.  Very strange.

Got this number on my caller ID on my cell phone. No voice message was left.

Got a call from this number, it was a voice recording saying "congratulations, only telus customers can recieve this prize, press one now to claim your prize."
i didnt fill out anything nor did he tell me what the prize was therefore i didnt click one, googled it and found this blog :) pretty fishy to me...

I missed the call from this number about 1/2 hour ago.  Looked up this number and found this.  Who is this calling.

same deal here, I'm in Vancouver and receiveved the call on my cel phone at 3:45pm, not knowing anyone in the 954 code I sent it to voicemail and no message was left.

I got a call from this number yesterday that said "Please press one to claim your prize as you are a TELUS" customer."  I have since filed a complaint with Telus to let them know a company is using their name illegally for a scam.  I am still shocked to hear they were using Telus' name!  Telus confirmed that this isn't a Telus promotions phone number.  Just to heads up for other Telus Mobility clients.

Yup, just got a call from the same number, I didn't bother picking it up, and, from reading this blog, glad I didn't, would have been such a waste of time.

For all those Canadians on the Do Not Call registry, just wanted to let you know that those lists can be bought by telemarketers outside of Canada making your information open to anyone around the world who's got the list to call and telemarket to you without it being illegal because it is outside of Canadian jurisdiction and the DNR is only done nationally.
