Someone from this number will call several times a day but when the call is answered no one will talk back. After a few seconds, the call is disconnected.

i work nights, and these people call and let it ring one or two times and then they hang up. if i find out who it is i will press charges on them.

same thing.  i don't even have credit issues that i'm aware of, so i typically answer all calls to find out why they are calling.  no answer.  when ignore it they leave no message.  weird.

Me too, I have two calls from this number today, Jan. 15, 2008. I do not know who it is from.

Call came up on ID as Active Periodical.  Let the machine pick it up.  No message was left.

i actually got this call today.
i called it back and after one ring it said
"you've reached active periodocal and our reps are taking other calls right now... please hold" but it sounded more like an answering machine
probably some scammer company.

I recieved this phone call twice already, late at night, early in the morning.. 954-671-6946.. they left no message, I finally called back and it's for active periodicals.. I dont understand how these people got my number in the first place since I changed it 2 weeks ago.. go figure.

The number has been showing up on caller ID and no message left. (4 times this week) I googled the number out of curiosity...and was surprised to find this !!!  

I'm kind of curious now if they are targeting a certain area...I am in St. Louis, MO

They have called my office number twice today and neither time left a message

I got a call too im from New York but go to school in Virginia. I got a call on my cell so it was a New York area code and it was the same company same story.  Saying I had won a girt certificate and that they needed a few follow up questions, but I never entered into anything to begin with

Third call today here at work. I don't answer it and no messages left. Caller ID says 954 671 6946.

Got 3 calls today on my CT (860) Nextel.  When I answered they hung up after a few seconds.

so i just recieved a call from 954-671-6946 and i answered and said "hello" and the person on the other line, a man, said, "may i speak to lord huge please?" and then he hung up.

yeah, that active periodicals thing makes since cause according to a prefix lookup program this is the info for that area code/prefix which matches up to the website below that someone posted.

i filled one of those survey's after buying something from amazon so i could get 6 mag subscriptions for a year for $8, so i'm assuming that's how they got my number.

They said I won $1000, got 3 free magazine subscriptions, and had to pay for a weekly one.  Not pushy, but very annoying and unclear on the rules involved - seems shady.

calls no talking just bothering

I got a call from this number today and as soon as i picked up they hung up. I am in Massachusetts.

I've gotten several calls from this number as well over a period of several weeks. I do not answer numbers that I do not recognize, so I have not answered calls from this number. The person never leaves a message. Today, I answered and the person hang up. I looked the number up and this is where it got me. Now that I have read all of this, I am really bothered by this whole situation. What is this person getting out of this?!
