Received a call from a Richard Anderson in reference to an ongoing DEA investigation! This is definitely spam.

my call came from "peter sanchez". complete bs. threatened me and I threatened back

Same message, but they have branched out to "agent Michael Thomas," though hilariously he stumbled over the Michael while leaving the vm.

Some guy with a very heavy accent saying he was from DEA about an investigation.  I said I didn't believe him, and he asked why not.  I said he couldn't pronounce my very common last name correctly.  He tried again, but it still wasn't right. He said he was sending agents to my house to pick me up.  I told him go ahead.

I got exactly (almost) the same call about 2 weeks ago.  Mine said I was the "subject of a DEA investigation" but he couldn't say investigation very well.  Told me the only way I could avoid being arrested was to pay a fine of five hundred.  That was the funny part.  He didn't say five hundred dollars, just five hundred.  I said is that in rupees cause I've got $1.25 right here in my pocket?  He hung up.

Same M.O., same script, I first received a call like this about 18 months ago.  At that time the guy used a different name, but his accent was so heavy (it sounded middle eastern), it was laughable he pretended to be an officer of the U.S.  He realized I was not taking him seriously and threaten to send his agents to my door since he "knew my address".  I said "OK, I'll be here waiting for them".  When I tracked that number it came up as originating from Washington State.  I just found a message on my phone from this number in Florida.  The guy is using "Michael Thomas" now, and his English has improved, but he still has an accent.  This is obviously a scam, and I think I am going to tip the real authorities this time.
