Series of calls attempting to sell "Extended Automotive Warranties". I recently purchased a used vehicle, apparently the dealership sold my work # to these bozos. The use an auto-dialer with pre-recorded message, instructing you to dial 1 to speak to someone. They claim to remove your number upon request but they'll be back in 28-32 days.
I'm getting them from quite a few numbers- driving me nuts! We don't allow personal calls from the office lines. I ask to be removed but then just get the call from another number.
How do I get them to stop calling? I get calls from them every day, sometimes several a day. I finally tried pressing 1 to ask them to remove me from the dialer list, and the man who answered had the nerve to tell me that he hadn't called, that I'd pressed 1 and then he hung up on me. So I doubt if I've been removed from the list, and now I'm more frustrated than ever. Does anyone know the source of this call and how to get them to stop?????
If you can find a way to stop them please post it...they are bothering my 80 year old father and won't stop calling him. He is on the Do not call registry but that doesn't help...if anyone can help me I would appreciate it.
Called by this number, did not answer. Called them back and spoke to what sounded like a crack w***e who wanted to know what vehicle i drove. I said which one, she said, what ever car you drive babe???. Sounds like a scam to me.
Extended Automotive Warranties, they keep on calling me, I am a Manager of a building my number is a business number, I have asked them to stop they keep on , its also driving me nuts , whats up with these people dont they know the laws when calling other states?
I've gotten repeated calls from this company, several a day sometimes, trying to sell me an extended warranty. I finally pushed 1 to ask them to take me off their list and not to call me anymore, and the person who answered was remarkable rude. I asked to removed from their list and he said "hey, I didn't call you, you pushed one!" and then he said something else as I was tryin to respond and hung up on me. Very frustrating and I doubt if the calls will stop. I'd like to know how to get them to stop.
Like all the others that have responded I keep getting calls for extended warranty service. I get them on my home and business line. Last week the number was Nevada 702-520-1207. This time it was 954-520-1207 which is Florida. My caller ID says Warranty Service. I chose the option to be taken off list but my phone just went dead, no response. I called the number and the recording said General Warranty Services. I again chose the option to be taken off list. The phone rang several times and then it said there was no answer at Ext 1142.
Even though these calls are coming in from different numbers in different states the recorded message is in the same voice and says the same thing. Every time it says that this is the last call before they close the books. Well, I wish they would close the books!!!
Todays calls are just two of the many phone calls that I have gotten from the company. When I finally answered the phone to confront them I requested that they give me the make model and year of my vehicle before I listened to them because they seemed to know that my warranty had expired(I have a dealer certified warranty that will last me until 2011). I got a click and that is how it goes.
Once you verify that it is the company that is listed in the above comment I suggest that anyone who reads this emails, calls, whatever... until something happens.
We are getting several calls a week, and when we push 1 and ask to be removed, we are hung up on. Very rude, very persistent. Another website connects this number to Global Crossing Local Services, Inc in Ft. Lauderdale.
I contacted General Warranty Services at their website http://www.generalwarrantyservices.com/ and found that they were very responsive to removing my number. I was contacted by several company managers by e-mail and assured that my number was removed.
No calls to date, I would suggest each of you use this approach. It is a high volume telemarketer, but appears to be up front.
I've received several calls from multiple numbers. Same company selling warranties. 6 times I have asked to be removed from a calling list and all but once have been hung up on. Somebody please find a way to shut these crooks down!!!!~
