marie - 7 Mar 2008March 7, 2008 at 1:52pm answered phone. recording saying my car warranty has expired or is about to expire press one to talk with a rep. I pressed one and a man came on and asked me the make and model car I had. Told him he should already know since he knew it was about to expire.Then I asked him what company he was with and he just hung up.

ANNA - 7 Mar 2008I get call from the same number about lowering the interest rate on my credit card on my home phone and about my car warranty on my cellphone. This must be some kind of scam, so hopefully the feds will investigate if enogh people register a complaint on the do-not-call website. I just filed a complaint after about 20 calls from the same number.

GP Mom - 12 Mar 2008I keep getting calls from this number. I saw "Fort Lauderdale, FL" on the ID but I dont know anyone from there so I didn't pick up. Sometimes (but not always) they leave a pre-recorded message starting with something like, "There is no problem with your account at this time. Please call us for some exciting information." -- something like that. I just reported them to the Do No Call Registry. I THINK if everyone starts doing that, it will eventually catch up with them.

dd - 13 Mar 2008What I mean is, I DO "press 1" or whatever it says, to "talk about lowering my interest rate" or whatever they say, and when someone answers, I act like I'm interested, give them some slightly wrong information, etc., until they start having problems, then I keep that going for as long as I can. Sometimes I finally tell them I knew they were scammers, and sometimes I don't. You have to have some free minutes to do this, obviously.

Michael - 7 Mar 2008Just received this call on 3/7/08 at 9:15 Central time. Recorded message informing me that one of the vehicles we are driving is getting close to the end of it's warranty period. After listening to the opening two lines I hung up, so I have no idea what it's really about.
