as stated before, this number can be traced back to "VERSA DEBT" and a number of its other front companies. they are scammers who try to get your credit card information and try to charge your credit card while you remain on the line.

it makes no difference if you report this specific number to the FCC or the DNC list, because they are using 954-733-7981 (and others) as "spoof" numbers. this means that 954-733-7981 is fake and is hiding the real number that they are calling from.

they are laughing and hanging up on you when you threaten them because they know that the average person will not realize that 954-733-7981 is a fake number, and therefore untraceable.

if you really want to put these people out of commission (and i know most of you do), you will research VERSA DEBT, find the company's real address, phone number and other information and file government complaints with their true info.

otherwise, these people will continue to harass and try to rip us off, as they will not be able to be found and held accountable to the FCC and other government agencies.

i plan on doing research on VERSA DEBT and their other companies tonight and will try to follow up this post with a list of their fake and real numbers and their real address so that all of us can file complaints at the same time and have the FCC finally stick it to these useless scammers.

i forgot to warn all of you to not give out any of your financial information to these people.

this includes simply verifying that you have a certain credit card, a car, or have had them in the past. there's no telling what info they already have on us.

if you get caught on the line with these people for some reason, simply hang up. no good can come out of talking to them. in fact, their whole goal is to keep you on the line for as long as possible so that they can increase their chances of squeezing out more personal information.

like i said, i will be following up my last post with a new one about this company's real and fake info so that we can report them and shut these s.o.b.'s down.

I just received a call from 954-733-7981 and I did not answer it but after reading this called back and all it did was ring. I only give my telephone number to friends and coworkers so I do not understand how they received my number. They did not leave a voice mail.

Called, left no message (showed up in caller ID anyway)

I got a call today in Modesto Ca from this same number and it was a recording saying if i wanted to lower my intrest rate on my merchant card to press one. I thought it was odd they didnt mention the credit card company so I waited and a lady got on the line. She asked if I wanted to lower my intrest on my card and I said no I just wanted to know who they were and to take my number off their call list but I didnt get to finish my sentence because she hung up on me. I got the feeling this was a scam since I called the number back on my caller ID and it said it was disconnected. The poor people that they do scam and steal identiny from. These people should be prosecuted for this!

Called back missed no. and was told the number was out of service. I don't give my caell # to anyone but immediate family, either.

Call came in at 8:10 pm 03/10/08. Not a recognizable number, so I didn't answer. No ID to go with number. I went ahead and reported the number to the "DO NOT CALL REGISTRY" ( https://www.donotcall.gov/ ) this am.

They called my cell phone!  How in the h*ll did they get my number?

Recieved call three days ago(3-8-08). It was "Heather" from "Account Services" telling me how I could restore my credit. It was a recording and I nver let it get past there. I've received too many calls regarding this or about car warranties from various numbers and aliases.

I'll see if the FTC's Do Not Call program works. I don't know how many times I've pressed a certain number or asked a live rep to have my name and number taken off of the list. doesn't seem to help. I've even threatened these scammers with lawsuits(never actually filed, thinking it more trouble than it's worth).

On the DNC List - continuely get calls from this number and they leave messages to press one, press 7 etc. It's an answering machine idiot - I can't press the numbers. I don't have Caller ID but hit the "your last incoming call was from" button and 954-733-7981 comes up. I call the number and it's disconnected. But before the 'disconnected' message, I can hear someone in the background as if the phone has been answered and a staff person made the recoreded message. This have been happening each week for about two months and there's no way to b***h about it but through on-line message boards. Thank you!

Got a call March 10th at 7:28pm.  Showed up on the caller ID as Hollywood, Fl.  Didn't pick up.

Just checked my credit report today... Find it weird a company from Ft. Lauderdale, FL pulled my credit report and this number started calling me around the same time.
 Mabye weird concicedence? probably not. I WILL look into this.

I KNOW WHO'S CALLING US!! I just pulled my Equifax Credit Report and found a promotional inquiry: "PRM-FIRST INVESTORS FINANCIAL SVCS" from 02/08 and 12/07. Really, was it that easy? They have offices in Houston, Texas (I'm in Texas) and Atlanta, GA (where I hear a lot of people can get agents to admit they're located).

I called phone number on their website (https://www.fifsg.com/default.aspx) and believe it or not, the voice on the recording is the SAME voice on the recording that's been calling us..."Heather from credit services."

I know that calling them and asking to be removed from their list will do no good, but I AM contacting the Texas Attorney General! Since I am "lucky enough" to be in the same state, I hope to get a massive lawsuit started against these pesky bastards!!

No message. I called the # back and it says the # is disconnected.

Got similar calls from this number several times. A scam of course. Bought a air horn to blow there ear drums out. calls have almost stopped.

I get this call on my cell phone all the time. My 12 year son also gets this call on his cell phone. Um hello people, he's freakin 12. I think my cell phone company sold our numbers or something. It's all just ridiculous!

Received one call on 7 March 2008 at 10:50 AM.  Did not take call.

Got call on this number from Heather at account services yesterday then on 954-370-6846 today...Heather too.

Still getting calls about once a week from this number. Calls come to my cell phone and I let them go to voice mail. I finally filed a FCC report today.
