does anyone know who this is

They claim to locate heirs to unclaimed property, but there is too much mystery attached.  May be a scam outfit. Depending on which extension you put in, you get a different party with different names, etc., but always the same woman's voice.

This is a law office (Elliot Greene, PA in Fort Lauderdale, Fla) that assists in unclaimed property...it's legit.  They get a fee, but do all the work.

...and maybe "Lisa" above is a plant put forth by said "law firm" to legitimize its scam operations.

I got a call from these scammers too. Any legitimate, REAL law firm will leave a message when they call. They don't hangup.

So how much did they "assist" you ? What unclaimed property did they present to you, and how did they happen upon it? How did they track you down in this big nation of ours? What percentage did they calculate they had earned?
Just curious, because they left me a message as well, about a man who died in 1998, who happened to have the same name as a roommate I had 20 years prior. I lost touch with him after the first year I moved out, and over ten years before I even met my wife. Yet the caller from the "law office" (why not a legitimate business name?) said this gentleman had "put you and your wife (and she named my wife) down as relatives".
To me it sounded more like they are desperate debt collectors, not angels bestowing unknown riches. "Unclaimed Property" notifications would come by certified mail, don't 'cha think?

A woman called me today and l/m regarding finding my ex husband who she said they think they have found him to be mentioned in some important legal documents
and would I call them back and give them his number.

My parents fell into this scam.  They sent original documents, death certificate, Social Security Number, etc.  Who do I contact?  Need documents returned.

I would like to report this unwanted caller.  My parents are retired and bought into this scam.  They sent their Power of Attorney, Social Security Number, Drivers License, everything!  I'm sick.  Who should I contact so my parents are protected.   Is it too late?

It's a law office that can get your "unclaimed money". They are legit, but want 30% of the money they get youthat you could get yourself.

I got one on Friday...as you said, they didn't leave a message.

You can search for unclaimed property for *FREE* by going to the National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators website http://www.unclaimed.org/  that will simply direct your search to *your* state gov's unclaimed-property webpage. And state gov websites are already paid for with taxpayers' dollars so your searches are all *FREE* *FREE* *FREE*

They are actually not scams I know many people that have received there checks for the unclaimed property. They don't always leave messages everyday so they don't bother you.

It is not a scam. If you did some research, you would see that Elliot Greene is a licensed attorney in Florida (FL bar # 993451). If you have any questions, you should contact the law firm directly instead of posting incorrect information online. The firm has been locating heirs of estates for several years and has helped many people recover money they did not know they inherited from their relative's estate.

There is NO work to be done except by you. You do not need an attorney to claim money or cash that is due to you. Simply go to Florida's Dept of State link for unclaimed funds at:

THIS IS A SCAM!!!!! Just because it might be a legal business according to the state of Florida, does not mean that it is an honest business. Elliot Green should be shamed out of their FL Bar licenses!! I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Federal Trade Commission. I urge everyone to follow suit.

They are not debt collectors. According to the law, debt collectors have to say they are attempting to collect a debt. The law office is the opposite. They are trying to return $ to people.
