The rep is selling some service that will come out to your house and check ways to save energy. I was promised a large discount on my electric bill. FPL offers the service! I would rather a rep from a trusted company check my energy usage than a no-name(no name on caller I.d. and no response when I asked the name ) company. Sorry, love 'em or hate'em I will always trust FPL.

FLORIDA on the ID - offers energy savings info. I asked her to please stop calling and that I was not interested. She replied by saying - you don't even know what I am calling about. I get the same call 2-3 times a week...very annoying.

I read up the message boards regarding these calla so I decided to let somebody come and talk to me about what it is all about. This is a company called Home Energy Loss Prevention and they are pushing Solar Panels to reduce your electricity bills from the power company. They say they can do an energy study of your home to find out where you can save on your energy consumption but really they want to sell solar Panels. Nor really a scam but not truely honest in the way they solicit business.

    ticked again
home energy loss prevention calling for an energy audit  I called Duke Energy not them, but they did warn me about a company selling solar panels  seems this is them. So this is a sales call problem is I am on the do not call list   caller id is v31817161100075  which will evade caller id block so it will ring through if you have this feature on your phone I do  . Advise to not give out any information even though it could be a legitimate sales call I am on the do not call list also on a legitimate telemarketing call there are things you need to say  such who you are name of company full address . When you get something like that then it is legitimate no matter how nice the person seems if they are circumventing the law in something as simple as a phone call ie lying! ..do you really want to spend potentially thousands of dollars on a solar panel ?  From these Scammers... This is a call center not a very good one you could here background noise  . A good legitimate call center or even collection no noise  they want to hear what you have to say.  Who knows what they really want.  Report them to Florida State Attorney General

Don't know this person nor do I recognize the number. I answered "Hello" and the person said "You need to put some sugar in......"  I did not understand the last part of his statement.  He hung up.

    Empowered
What I do with all solicitors is store their number in my phone and attach a consecutive number to it. For example... I store them as "Sol1" (short for solicitor) then "Sol2" and so on. I am up to "Sol373" now! It only takes a couple of seconds to store the number but can save minutes of answering the call and/or listening to a VM from them. When one of these "Sol" calls come in I simply answer it and immediately hang up so it can't go to VM. So, instead of being aggravated by these calls, I now feel empowered because I have the upper hand of knowing it is a solicitor in the first place and then I get the satisfaction of being the one who controls the situation by answering and just hanging up on them!

Call is CID "Florida." Others have mentioned that it is FPL. Well, that's the tipoff that this is a SCAM because I have Duke Energy, which until recently was Progress (which was something else before ..)

I suspect that this is just more of the "p-Resident 0Bola will pay to put solar panels on your roof." Yeah. Right.  Solar panels are nothing more than a high-price SCAM that will generate very LITTLE energy for your dollars. Maybe in 30 years, but right now it might produce enough power to charge your cell phone in several hours. Don't fall for the solar scam artists!

BTW, SCAMMERS .. even if you keep calling, you will NEVER get an answer!  Go find a legitimate job!
