Got a text on my phone saying that I won a $1000 gift card from Best Buy and gave me the url  http://goo.gl/T67UV and a claim number. Of course the url doesn't exist. I never would have thought they would start spamming cell phones.

this number send me txt saying congratulation u won $1000 gift card from best buy... obvious scam because I don't have any record at best buy. mars

same here, $1000 Best Buy.
Do these people think we are idiots? Has anyone gone to the website in the text?

at 8:14 pm. I recieved a text message with the same thing:

sam received the same text.  You won $1000 Best Buy gift card on the 5th, I thought it was to good to be true.  I recieved a text message on the 3rd from a man interested in a pick-up we had for sale, he wanted to send a cashiers check and a driver to pick the vehicle up.  I requested he call so we could talk in person, he never called or texted again.  I feel we have been victims of 2 scams this week and I am glad to report I have been suspicious of both.

I also received the same offer from the same number yesterday. When I tried going to the site in my phone, it wouldn't pull it up. Tried it on my computer, and my antivirus said there was a threat detected as soon as I clicked the search button. Won't even let you go to the site, and when I tried calling the number to see who'd answer, it said "the person you're trying to call is unavailable right now, please try your call again later.". Lol don't waste your time with this scam

Mine was from Delray Beach Florida. What is scary is that I just bought stuff from Best Buy. I hate to sound paranoid but I think corporations are giving out our info.

when it asked what company called me, i put Best Buy.  it may or may not really be from them, but since the text says i won their card, and the website redirects to a website with their logo and name in the url, i'd say it's still Best Buy's responsibility to at least investigate them.

I applied for a job at Best Buy online, as they no longer take applications and resumes in person.  now i'm getting these texts.  i got two texts, one from this number and same claim number and website.  one from 619 - 274 - 3751  www.thursdayx.com, claim number 2283.  both said i won $1000 best buy gift card.  I'm thinking of calling best buy and accusing them of selling my info.  since i just applied there it does look bad.  lol, maybe i'll actually get a $1000 gift card just to shut up!
