Received a call on my home number while I was out.

No message was left.

Other posters have said that this is a debt relief scam.

Picked up and hung up when answered. Call coming from Laredo, TX. May be related to 979-201-0548 also from Texas and also hangs up after answering. Both appear to be cell phones.

Had the same number, no voicemail left, so don't know who it is......

Caller ID was "Brown Nathaniel". It was Desert Premier Builders, local #480-949-6006. Telemarketing call to schedule a roof inspection. I inquired about the odd Caller ID & phone #. The agent responded that their phones were hooked up to the internet and assigned a different ID and phone # each time a call goes out.

Get so tired of these calls, never lave message, how can I get rid of them.?

Consumer Debt Advocate [www.consumerdebtadvocate.com] trying to drum up lead selling business for debt settlement programs. They incessantly call.

Oh yes, this is a scam.  Just jerking the [***] chain a little - while wasting a bit more of what little life I have left....seems that they were really interested to know if you have a little more room on your credit cards - and OF COURSE - you need to have a working checking account - so they can start deducting those fees right away!!!

For those that are new:

These guys troll the internet and the phone lines looking for ANY warm body that smells like it's in financial trouble with credit card debt.   Then they want you to have AT LEAST $10K in debt - why? Simple, they don't want to fool with making less than $500 bucks a month off of you.

The deal is this,  you STOP paying your credit cards - and you START paying these clowns each month.

They tell you that you need to do this for 2 reasons - 1- to build a little fund to be able to make  your credit card companies an offer in settlement  ...and 2- most importantly, to build up a fund for these guys to raid for the $4,000 - $5,000 FAT FEE they're going to hit you with BEFORE you try and settle your debts for less than you owe.

Notice that important part - BEFORE.  Yes, Virginia...there is a big bad wolf lurking in the woods.
...and you are crunchy and taste damn good with ketchup - so I've heard...

What they fail to make plain is the simple fact that YOU WILL be paying them EVEN IF your credit card companies REFUSE to deal with you.

You WILL *RUIN* any credit you have.

You COULD be sued by your card companies.

THEY will NOT be responsible IF THIS SHOULD HAPPEN.

YOU WILL sign a waiver that holds THEM harmless should you get sued.

Oh yes, and THEY STILL GET PAID!!

...and THEY WILL be paid FIRST out of that fund.

So do yourself a favor - for FREE - don't use this crappy, near criminal service.

I dialed this number back after just receiving a call from them yesterday.. Already the number is no longer in service. Guessing it's yet another part time criminal who can't even pay his own phone bill..

No, the number isn't disconnected - it's a total FAKE.   They make random non-working or unassigned numbers show up on your caller ID so they don't get caught and fined by the FTC for violating the Do Not Call List.

This is a sure sign of a scam - no legitimate business would ever operate this way.

Oh, BTW, today's scam was mortgage modifications.   Just if you're interested.

Likely a spoofed number so victims can never call the scammer.

I have read where this is a scam #.  ID reads Nathaniel Brown.  I get nothing from a stranger and am able to take care of my life.  They should do the same.

They called again! 6:53 pm - right at supper time. They wanted to have a person come to my home to explain a "senior care" insurance policy to me.
Recently bought a Panasonic phone that blocks numbers.
They are now blocked!

Today it is credit card debt. Told them I didn't respond to any messages and the guy immediately hung up.

Caller ID says Brown Nathaniel. I did not answer. The caller waited until the beep of my answering machine but did not leave a message. Did not realize that unwanted calls from 956-220-3577 were such a widespread problem.

They left a message regarding my unpaid electical bill for "my company".  I don't own any company and don't know how they decided on this.  I do not pick up the phone call from any number that I don't recognize.  Truly a definite SCAM.
