My answering machine shows this caller tried at 11:11am today. Caller ID indicates L7 SCVC CALL.

Caller is obviously a Mute. No spoken message to clutter my airspace! ... My Sherlock Holmes instinct is telling me it's some Nigerian Type  claiming to be from  Microsoft, wanting to "fix" my PC which is loaded with so many viruses and bugs I am contaminating the Internet!  The Mute from MSN can Fix my PC for whatever is in all my bank accounts and wallet!

This number just called me. When I answered it was : dead air: When I called back the number was NOT IN SVC

Caller id was: "L7 SCVC CALL". Didn't recognize caller, didn't answer, left no message.

Called and left voice mail about pain that I might be experiencing. Deleted and blocked.

Our Caller ID: "DRECOMMENDED 970-316-7049" Didn't answer - no message left. Was this meant to say "Dr. Recommended?" That kind of fits in with "Scotts" post (above), but as I wrote, no message was left.

This number called my cell at 1:38, 12/12, I didn't answer, they didn't leave a message. I'm done answering numbers I don't recognize but I was curious this time so I googled it.

I'm expecting a call from an unfamiliar number, so I picked up. It was voice-recognition bot yammering on about pain medication or something.

As usual, I blocked this number with my call blocker device as well as the entire area code. I don't know anyone in Colorado so it doesn't matter. I also filed a complaint with donotcall since they need to be made aware (again) that they are scammers attempting to sell pain medication as per the Google comments from others. in addition, they called at 10:30am NY time, which is 7:30am in CO so they are also violating the times they are allowed to call if they were a legitimate company. I would suggest that everyone who receives any calls from illegitimate telemarketers file complaints. The more they receive, maybe they will realize it is a huge problem. Since I registered with donotcall right after they started the website, I have not received one call from legitimate sales people, only from these annoying and illegal callers.

I said I think I will answer this one and see what it is about.  It was a woman's voice about some pain creme at no cost to you.  I think the conversation was all voice recognition by the tye of answers they wanted mainly yes and no but you had to be between the ages of 18 to 65 to qualify for heaven knows what.  I told the voice I was 69 and it didn't know what to say because I was out of the age range.  I will answer the next time, if they call with age 60 or so and see where the scam goes.

The only obvious thing to me is that the Do Not Call list doesn't work. I  have never gotten so many scam calls. Got this one and five others today.

Called our DNC registered landline on 12/12/2014 @ 12:38 PM Ridgway, CO. Caller ID shows (970) 316-7049 twice. No message was left.
I've been getting pain cream and medic alert calls for about 4 months from several dozen numbers.
I have Blacklisted this number. If this number calls again it will be registered to Caller ID history, but the phone will never ring.

I've also been getting "pain cream" and "medic alert" calls too numerous to mention over the past 6 months.  Since the government, namely the FCC, isn't going to do anything about these scams, you have no choice but to buy an effective call blocking system.  I spent $40 for one about 4 months ago, and have not been disappointed!!  This call from 570-316-7049 rang my landline phone today, but it will now be "black listed" never to ring my phone again.

Came in identified as DRECOMMENDED.  Left no message.  Blocked from here on out.

We're on both the Colorado list and the national list, and get lots of these scammer calls.  You're right; the no-call lists just don't work.  There are no teeth in those laws, and too many ways around them.  We need *real* no-call lists, with easy ways for victims to not just report the call (nothing seems to happen with that) but actually get compensated by the callers.  Every call made to someone on the list should cost the caller enough money that they won't want to do it.  There should also be criminal charges for repeat offenders.  The exceptions for "charity", "survey", and political calls also need to be closed.  If that means having a separate list for those, fine, but since most of the "charity" and "survey" calls are really telemarketers hiding behind false labels, there should be an easier way to stop those.  My phone service provider allows blocking of specific numbers, but only 25, and it doesn't appear to allow wildcarding (e.g. 1800*), so it isn't nearly enough.  My phone has a list of blocked numbers as well, but that takes the second ring before it works.  The real solution is to have laws that can be effectively enforced and have substantial penalties for offenders.  If it costs them $1,000 per call, they'll stop.

Same call again. When I picked up I started giving them a hard time using no-so friendly words.

Called several times over the last few days.
When I answered, there was a long (robo-dialer) pause, then someone came on the line, claiming something about pain management.
I told him to go f¥€k himself, and I hung up.

Called my cell which is on state and national do not call (what a joke - no enforcement to it!) telling me they had sent me information regarding pain relief and were following up because they hadn't heard from me.  Hmmm shouldn't that tell you I'm not interested in your scam?  Asked her to take me off calling list and she hung up.  Blocked on my cell but they'll simply change one number in their phone number and call again.  It never ends!

Called but left no message. CID was DRRECOMMENDED. Saw on this forum it was some pain medicine scam. Few months back got a call from DRRECOMMENDED on 607-203-5653, that one didn't leave a message either.
