Robocall, actually left a voicemail message! Beginning was cut off, but a recorded voice said "...lower your rates, or press 9 to be removed." - No other info.

This is the same outfit that calls from different locations all over the country. They try to get your credit card number by promising a lower interest rate. I have received over a dozen of these from different locations in the country. They all have the same introduction. I am making a list to turn over to the Ohio Attorney General. Might not do any good, but if enough people complain...  I am on the "do Not Call List" for my home and cell phone and still get these calls repeatedly. If you do talk to anyone they are rude and pushy if you do not give them your number.  If you ask to be removed they hang up on you.

consistent disturbance from this number..trying to get your credit card number to "help" you with your credit problems...very frustrated..don't trust callers with such promises...

Call about reducing intrest rate on credit card

Had same experience as SOMEGUY....I didn't recognize the number so I did NOT answer and it left a voicemail message. Beginning was cut off, but a recorded voice said "...lower your rates, or press 9 to be removed."  I am also on do-not-call list and will be following suit on hammering these guys about calling me!!  Thanks to the rest of you for all the other info concerning these irritating calls.

I did not answer it, and I am glad I didn't! I always get these calls from random unknown numbers and I never answer.

Call begins with automated system and identifies with Card Member Services.  Ive been getting calls for months and months not only from this number but several others stating the same things.  I press #1 and politely ask to be removed from there call list and yet week after week...month after month I still continue to get calls.  I got a little creative this last call which was about 10 min ago.  I gave some bogus name and credit number with a bogus bank name to see where the call would lead.  I was put on hold for a min or so..at this point I'm assuming they are running the card number.  The guy comes back on the line and asks for my social...I say sorry I'm not giving you that and guess what?  I got hung up on!  I will continue to get creative....I'm tired of the calls so I'm just going to enjoy screwing with people now.

970-372-2813 - It's a call from a company called "Card Services".  They will not give you their name, their boss's name or anyones name.  This number calls us over and over up to 4 times a day.  We cannot block anymore numbers as we are at the max of these types of calls.

Their number, time of day they call and how long they stay on the phone with a time stamp that the call was incoming is all on record with our online phone company who keeps detailed records.  The loud recording comes on all times of the day from them.  

I just got done reporting this and another repeat callers to the FCC.gov site over the phone.  The lady said these numbers are getting very bad for people and there will finally be some cracking down on them.  I told her about these numbers as these are getting worse and worse.  She filled out an entire form and submitted.

Oh, pressing a number to be removed from the list will probably not work, but get you more calls as now they know someone answers the phone.  

1)  Call 1888-225-5322 This is the FCC reporting number
2) OR, go online to file a complaint:  http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm

3) You must have some sort of tracking or caller id that keeps written record as you'll need some specifics.  

4) You can give other sites where you research the number after they call to see who they are or what others are saying.  

5)  If you do the form, or you call it in, you'll need to state that all is the truth, and you are not making any false claims.  This is serious stuff for us recipients of these awful calls that must stop now.

I get calls every day from this 972 area code although the last few digits of the complete number change. The intention is the same - to get my credit card number. This is harrassment, spam, against the law. I'm on the do not call list and yet this is using my cell phone minutes to try to steal from me.

Thank you Mark for posting this information. I have been harassed by multiple callers wanting to talk about lowering interest rate on credit cards. One just rang my phone (I don't answer anymore). I didn't answer and the phone immediately rang again from another number different area code. A while back I answered and regretted the decision. I'm going to use the info you have provided and even if nothing comes from it I will be satisfied in supplying the FCC with my own experience with these callers.

These people have been calling me more and more often and are now up to almost once a day (on my cell).  I just emailed my Attorney General's office in NYS, though they probably can't do anything.  I usually hit #1 for the rep and a) tell them I know they're fishing for info because I don't have any credit cards and b) ask him/her for the name of the organization so that I can file a legal complaint because I'm on the do-not-call list, and they hang up in a hurry.  I'm sick of wasting my cell minutes on these clowns.

They called, I did not answer, but an automated voice left a message that was partly cut off.

Got a call from this Colorado number immediately after my phone stopped ringing from another junk call from Kentucky.  Did not answer either, but they both left messages--exactly the same and cut off at the same point.  They told me I could 'press 9' to be removed--so this wasn't really a message as much as my phone recording whatever crap they were peddling.  My husband and I are both on the Do Not Call list, yet this calls seem to be gaining in frequency the last few months.  Never have actually answered a call.  They account for more minutes used on the cells than any other calls.  Would be nice if there were a way to get around them/block them.

Has been for years. Calling people who never had a card.
Pure Harassment.

Same issue as everyone else - what a pain in the @ss. I get text messages as well -
