a call from "officer John" from the "United States Finance Department" - on a Friday night?  I don't think so!!  Watch out, they're at it again ...

They are trying to make you buy something to get off their call list. Very hostile. Not a true payday loan company.

A man claiming he was calling from the US Treasury office in Washington DC (He didn't speak very good English) He told me that he was going to award me with a grant of $8,400.00 . If I did not take it right now than I would loose this opportunity. WHATEVER! I told him that I wanted to speak to someone else, he got upset then I told him to transfer me....he said OK then said he was transferring me...no one ever picked up.

called and said that i was app for $8400 grant and i didn't have to pay it back or anything, they call me atleast 20 times a day

They called, informed me I was approved for a grant from the us treasury.  When I asked to have papetwork sent to me, I wad advised that I could pick it up in wash. Dc, and they would pay for.me to go there from Florida to get it, when I told them I thought he was a scammer, he told me "go to hell then".    Nniiiiiicccceeee

also got the calls for a 8400 scam. i called the charity foundation they said to wire $200 to in order to get the loan. they said it was a scam! dont send them money! i also changed my bank info. then went to the police department to notify them of a scam and they said they couldnt do anything because no money was actually taken from me. just a heads up. total scammers!!

The person who owns this number keep calling me but when I called the number it was disconnected why is still appear in my caller id

I posted this to another number that has been calling me and this is what I posted...

I applied for a payday loan about 1 month ago. I recieved a phone call from Steven (he could barely pronounce his name), and he stated I had 3 criminal charges against me. I was a bit shocked when he had some information about me, but I had denied everything, this is how the conversation went.

Guy: Hello can I speak to Mr ****

Me: Speaking

Guy: My name is (cant even pronounce it) Steven and I am calling from (something I couldnt understand) and I am calling in regards to (something I couldnt understand), you have 3 criminal cases against you, and you are being taken to court by the state of california. I need to ask you a couple of questions.

Me: No, I need to ask you a couple of questions. Why wasnt I notified by mail, if you guys have my address? And why in the hell would someone, who can barely communicate in english be hired as a LEGAL representative for this law firm, and the state of california to call the defendants. This seems like a scam...

Guy: Haha, sir I can assure you this is not a scam...

Me: Sure, just like the $100 visa card you people have been trying to give to everyone... What is the name and the number to your law firm?

Guy: Call this person (blah blah blah) extension 420 For more information. Is the last four of your social ****.

Me: I am not answering your questions until I speak to someone in the United States.

Guy: Do you work for *(***************?

Me: Ill tell you what Abu, Ill call the number you gave me, and figure stuff out on my own through the courts.

I called the number many many many times, and it goes to voicemail... Smells like Abu and company are trying to get in on it like the paisas in Mexico.Caller: Imperial Ca

Getting this again evert sixes month ca;; and go answer it hang up. I Know how a payloan work take they take out till paid of. and they call back number no longer working, Say going to get sued. I dad have out nit with company talking about.

it seem want go after poeple that do not have money in thier pockert oler and disiability poeple. they  I getthikl we are stupit I know what I have in checking and save on disc and print stuff all the time

I got the call, but missed it and I have been getting them from random numbers ever since I applied for a payday loan about 2 weeks ago. It turns out that I turned down all the loans and never even got one. All of a sudden these [***] started calling me. Its a national scam come to find out, so do what I did. Get the app Mr. Number and it blocks texts and numbers from whoever you need. It will pick up and hang up on them...lol. Then you will get a notification that they we just blocked. Your phone never even rings, no VM..No worries :)

When you take out a payday or other loan on the internet, this information is obtained by firms like this that exploit your for all kinds of scams.  Even if you tell them to take you off their list, they keep calling you anyway.

What site do you use to get off the call lists and have your number blocked again?

I just received a call from this number saying that I was one of a few that would be receiving a 1400 dollar grant from the US Government.  They would not answer any of my questions and said that I had to pay a fee in order to get the money through my bank account or on my card.  I said no and to give my money to someone else and hung up.  I have received several calls about receiving grant money.  I searched through a site, and it was saying that the only site was: www.usgrants.gov that you can go to and apply.  It also stated that if you have to pay a fee then it is a scam.

I had the same phone call saying that they would be prosecuting me on criminal charges in the state of California.  They had a lawyer call me and said that I refused to pay back the money they loaned me.  I told them that this is a scam to get money and information out of me and to go ahead and prosecute.  I will have my lawyer call the police and they hung up.  It is a good feeling to turn tables around on them.  They never called me back.  This was not the only number I received these types of calls on.  Each one, I told them that my lawyer will be calling their company and the police.

Whoever was calling wanted to talk to my husband.  When I said he wasn't available the caller hung up.  Someone called again from this same number about two hours later and hung up when I answered the phone.  When I tried to call the number it was disconnected.

I just had the same call as you did... She told me she need my checking account information,I ask the lady to send me the check in the mail,she was very upset and when she hang up she told me I would never get this loan again and told me to go to hell...Real nice....It has to be a scam...

Constant harrasment. cant even speak english and they get pissed of if you question them.

I'm ready to change my phone number!  I'm SO tired of these calls
