Called mobile, hung up instantly

971-208-9936  is a landlind in Salem, Oregon ....belongs to telemarketers...some company named Energen or something like that...Number shows to be list to a: J  Colson ???   .....don't know why they called my number, but they did..

I just received a missed call on my cell from 971-208-9936 but they didn't leave a message.  I have no idea who it is, but I don't answer if I don't know who it is.  If it's important, they should leave a message.

They call every day and when I answer, they hang up immediately.  When I don's answer, a message is left but it is just silence.

I just got a call form this same number and she told me that I had got apporved for some Grant money form the Government I was oh wow really and then she told me not to say anything to anyone about it, then she asked for my email and my name and then she asked for a credit card number so I told her a fake on and i told her I don't have $4.99 today call me friday then she said her name was Daniel a girl named that no way..

Just started today. Bet it's another Online Pharmacy. Ordered one time and it's been a #$@@$@ nightmare. Will call Sprint and have it blocked. They have already called twice today and I'm sure they won't stop.

Had a call from that number at 2:45 am, Houston time.  No message.

Yikes they are starting early! I just got a call from them yesterday but I didn't answer. After reading the submissions here I think I'm gonna block them too!

FYI, if you go to donotcall.gov you can register your phone number on the national do not call list (or re-register) and you can report them/fill out a 30 second form to report them. It's very quick and easy. If we all do it maybe someone will take notice and shut them down!

Please be careful doing that....you may end up giving them someone else's actual credit card number and that poor person will have to deal with fraud and unapproved charges!! That happened to me. Plus, it may come back to bite you if they investigate or press charges since the sales company has your name and phone number--the authorities could connec/link you with the fraud as well! Just saying it's probably better to not engage with the sales call people.

This number calls my Cell phone at all times and hangs up when I answer. I would love to meet this person in real life and hang up my phone on their head and pull the trigger! so sick of it! They have no rights calling my cell phone! A holes...... I want this to stop!

@Gary - OHM - I have had the same exact thing happen to me.  The sell the number list over and over and over again.  I get so pissed off.  When I actually do get a person (always foreign) I ask them "If this is an online pharmacy then why are we on the phone? Why are you calling me if you are "online?"  And they try to tell me they are running a "special sale."  I still ask then why are you calling me, why aren't you sending me an email?  No answer...I always tell them the same thing - look if I want to buy drugs on line I'll get on line and do that - stop calling me!

I got one of these calls this afternoon.  It's been a personal policy of mine for years that if a dialing machine calls me, I don't take the call. Caller ID is a wonderful thing. You always know its a machine because there is a long pause from the time I say "hello" until someone comes on the line.  Or, and this one really burns me up, a recording asks ME to HOLD!  And this applies to any reputable firm, such as collection agencies.  How very arrogant of companies to call with a machine and then ask YOU to hold for THEM! Like your time is not as valuable as theirs. They don't want to hire more people to make the phone calls, it lowers their profit margin.  So they arrogantly put the onus on me to wait for THEM!  It will never happen!  If everyone would do that, these low-life's would be forced to have warm bodies make the calls.

Called at 9 am this morning. Caller ID says they are Asia Pacific... Didn''t leave a message.... It's the 5th time they have call and yes, I'm on the state and Fed. Do not call list.  Which BTY is usless folks.....

DRUG COMPANY - seems many, many years back I ordered Canada Drugs and they will not stop calling!  I have blocked the number, diff number, and they call from yet a diff number.  NEVER answer a 971 area code call and maybe, one day, they will go out of business.  NOT likely!  Plan to order MAGIC JACK for a private, junk line, that I will NEVER ANSWER, to thwart the junk.  US do-not-call list does not work!    Log on to your cell phone company and block each number, so far - 28 and counting, but they keep calling and I keep not answering.  :)

My caller id says asia pacific when this number comes up. I don't anwer but they call everyday.

They call every single day,starting at 8 am til 9pm. They also use 503-457-1034. Its an online rx company, not sure how they got my number, I think thru those rx discount cards, as they use your phone number as your id,who knows. Dont answer or call back. If you do,they'll call even more,because now they know the number they called is good. I simply block them via a call block app. They'll never leave a message and will call daily,multiple times,but just ignore them. You can also report them or use the do not call and add them to the list. Asia Pacific is the name and they'll call from different numbers even local numbers! They need a life and new hobby. They've been calling me daily for the past 11 months!
