I have gotten this number twice in two days. wont answer it.

Verizon wireless.

This is another number that has called me as well as the one that won't stop!

they just keep calling! 3 calls in the last hour. I wont answer, but i'd like to know how they got my cell number; i do NOT give it out

I just received a call from this number too.  I am not answering it.  Any one know who it is yet??

Thistle number keeps calling, I am @ a loss as what to do to stop these calls. They wont answer @ this number, can anyone help!!

Pay your cell phone bill and the calls will stop.

If it's Verizon why don't they leave a msg? Anytime I've had an overdue bill w/Verizon they sent me a text msg and/or voicemail.

This is not Verizon Wireless. This is a scam. This is most likely someone who works / use to work at Verizon Wireless.
If you call the number back you will notice that the on hold music is an old ad.
If you wait long enough, someone from "Assumed Verizon Wireless" will answer.
If you ask for their name, they will say the name of person on the Verizon Wireless account.
Do not pay these people.
If you do, your Verizon Wireless bill wont get paid.
If you do get a call from 971-244-8247. you need to call Verizon Wireless and let them know about the issue.
By calling / contacting  Verizon Wireless, this will make Verizon Wireless know about these people.

This number has called me day after day, odd hours and when I answer they won't tell me who they are unless I give them my personal information. When I refuse to give them my info they transferred me to another person that tried again to get my personal info. They were unprofessional and when I questioned them why they needed this information before they could identify themselves, they stumbled over their words, couldn't give me a straight answer and hung up on me. I think this ml could be a verizon employee or former employee trying to collect payments before payments are made to Verizon. If anyone else has information, I would love to know. Wouldn't it be fun to bust the scammers trying to steal money from hard working members of society.

I got this call twice today and when I called back they identified themselves as Verizon and said, if you're not a Verizon Customer to press #1 to update their records. When I tried to answer the call all I get is 3 beeps and it disconnects.

Keeps calling;  I won't answer.

Calls at least twice a day. It is a political survey "Question 1: Do you plan on voting for Republican or Democrat"? It is a recorded voice. No way to bypass survey.

(971) 244-8247 this number called me as well. I didnt pick up, i dont pick up nunbers i dont recognize.  So i waited forfor a voicemail...still waiting....guess whatever they called fkr wasnt that important.

This is a call service that calls for Verizon when Verizon believes your behind on your Verizon bill.  I know this because I have been late paying my Verizon bill a few times and this is the service that calls every time.  They will keep calling until Verizon CS changes something in your account.

The number that usually contacts me when I am missing a phone payment is 541-505-3999. That number is registered in Eugene Oregon. The 971-244-8247 number called me five times within the last day. Each time they call, they don't leave a message and I don't answer calls that often when I don't know the number. When I am missing a payment or am somewhat late on a payment, I get a text notification about service disruption.

I do not have Verizon  and i never did ... this must be a scam
