I got a call from this number and nothing was said. Highly suspect!!

Sounded like a boiler room.  Someone asked if it had alcohol in it. Nothing else was said.

I just received a call from this number and when I answered the phone they hung up. I wish they would ST?OP calling.

Sometimes, these numbers call, and when you answer they "capture" your number -- then they can make calls using your phone number. I don't know if it is true in this case - but always be careful - I don't answer any calls that I don't know. I just got a call from this number and sent it to voicemail. Of course, no message was left.

Called, asked for business owner, then hung up. I would safely assume this is one of the numbers that telemarketers and spam call centers use to test lines and confirm they have numbers to later harass.

The company is Game Day. They are a telemarketing company.

I got a call from this #, guy said he was calling from Google Apps in the U.S. and wanted to discuss some new features. I ended call...not sure why they're calling my cell or how they got it but extremely frustrating. He called me by my first name as well, my google account only states my first initial.

Just got a second call from them.  They call my business number, so I answer.  They say are are a "partner" of Google Maps.  I asked them their business name, they say WIS and explain to me how Google Maps works.  I asked again for the business information (name/website), they repeat and bypass info and explain how Google Maps works, talks to me like the internet is new and as if no ones ever used Google Maps before!  Then wants to pass me off to someone else.  Say I'm not interested, they immediately hang up.  Try calling back the number and it's disconnected off course.

Received a call from this number and when answering they asked to speak to owner and when told unavailable and may a message be taken they hang up the phone.  When trying to call the number back you don't get an answer or anything else.  My number is listed in the National Do Not Call Registry.

Another telemarketer fraud clams to be google.  

Just hangs up when they call.

This is a call center offering businesses an optimization for the business' web site to show up on cell phones (when a person searches the web for a particular type of business via the phone) and gives the person the option of simply pressing a "call now" button on their screen. Supposedly lists the business on the 1st page of Almighty Google. I guess some businesses are paying for such services, otherwise the wouldn't be making all these calls. Our business doesn't buy placement on any search engines, no paid ads or pay per click or other supposed optimization options. Unfortunately, if you are using your cell phone for a business that you list/advertise on the web through your own site or various directories, I'm not sure the "Do Not Call List" rules apply. Best bet is to store the #'s on your ignore list or just don't answer unfamiliar #'s. If it's really important, they'll leave a voicemail.

got called this afternoon ..they got my number off my website ..tried to sell adverttising ...i asked who was calling ..she said Amanda and she was a google partner..I have asked them numberous times nlt to call and ask her to never call ... she sent rude messages thru my website and to my phone... how sleazy can you get?
