Some collection agency called Source RM looking for someone I don't know and wanting me to call them back.

So what did I do???
I called them back from a blocked number and muted the phone.

Source RM appears to be a bottom feeder dealing at least to some degree in junk debt.  

They are aggressive callers and use Broadvoice communications.  They are unswayed by the truth in caller id act, and your caller id will normally have either a city name, or "Broadvoice", the name of their phone carrier.  

If you try to call them back, you may appear not to get through, although it is more likely that they are just creating the appearance of a failed call. Your call may be logged by their computer. If you get a person, it is difficult to get any information from the collectors, but the info you need is posted below.

Just another spoofed number - they use hundreds, if not thousands, of phone numbers - the phone numbers have area codes from all over the world (most of the phone calls originate offshore even though the area codes are within the U.S.).  SCAMMING BOTTOM FEEDER COLLECTION AGENCIES CAN GO FLY A KITE - I WON'T ANSWER ANY SCAM COMPANY'S PHONE CALLS THAT SHOW UP AS UNAVAILABLE ON CALLER ID - I NEVER ANSWER NUMBERS I DON'T KNOW WHO THEY ARE FROM - EVEN NUMBERS I KNOW WHO THEY ARE FROM A LOT OF TIMES GO TO VOICE MAIL.

I won't answer any phone calls from scam companies who use bots to leave half-baked messages - who do they think they are fooling with their idiotic messages - press 1 if you are the person or press 2 if you aren't the person and hold.  Yeah, right, once they've got you holding, they end up racking up hundreds of dollars of phone bills on you in a reverse call type scam.  TRUST ME - SOURCE RM IS A BOTTOM FEEDING SCAMMING SUPPOSED COLLECTION AGENCY - IF THEY REALLY HAVE ANY CONNECTION TO COLLECTION AGENCY BUSINESS, THEY TRY TO COLLECT ON DEBTS THAT AREN'T EVEN OWED OR ELSE HAVE ALREADY BEEN PAID OFF OR THEY ARE TRYING TO COLLECT ON DEBTS THAT ARE WELL BEYOND THE STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS FOR COLLECTION ACTION.  DO NOT LET THEM SCAM YOU INTO GIVING THEM ANY INFORMATION.  THEY ARE SCAMMERS.

And, even if you try to call them back by blocking your number, they aren't so stupid that they don't have access to software that gets around blocked calls.  The best thing you can do is to call them from a pay phone or else use a calling card (calling cards aren't connected to any telephone number and hides where the phone calls originate from).  Of course, if you try to call them back, they'll give you a run around and try to keep you from knowing their real intent.  They are intent upon getting you to give up credit card or bank account information so they can suck you dry - THEY ARE SCAMMERS.

As far as I'm concerned, even if there is a real debt that was owed years and years ago, I can't pay a thing as I don't have any money after rent and utilities are paid, there's hardly any money for food.  I have no bank account, no credit card, and no line of credit  THEY CAN GO SUCK EGGS.

I keep receiving calls from this scammer about 2 past debts and some suit that's been filed against me.  I have always paid my bills on time and do not have any past due debts not has their been a suit filed against me.  My credit rating is in the 800's and yet month after month I get these calls.  I block them and they just call from another number.  If this was a true company why isn't there a person on the line?  And why do they tell you to call another number for more information.  The lastest is they are threatening to send someone to my door or place of work to serve me.  Right!  How about finding the person you really want and stop bugging me!
