- Caller: Card services

- steveIts scammers. They have nothing better to do. Seems that who is doing it has different numbers. Eventually it will stop. you can't get through to them and they are preying on innocent people.
Pick up the phone and hang up on them.- Caller: unknown
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Dave| 2 repliesI have gotten calls from this company about 20 times, each time from a different number. Most recently from 971-295-9768. Every time I tell them to take me off their call list, but they usually hang up before I finish. Two days ago it was from 407-702-0538.

- Les| 2 repliesGot a call from this # on my cell & answered without looking what the number was. Hung up as soon as I answered call. Has been happening to others about now too. 3/1/12 approx 10am EST. Do not know what kind of scam but so far could find out it may be by Mcleodusa Telecommunications Services, Portland. OR. by reverse phone call look ups. Call the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY to file a complaint if your phone # is registered. Please post if anyone finds out what kind of scam ...maybe extra charge on phone bill. Then you can file complaint with FCC & your state's attorney general's office.
- Cheri| 2 repliesReceived a call from 971.295.9768 - did not answer. No text message was left on my phone - just the phone number. I have been receiving scamming calls at least once a day for the past week or so. Someone mentioned a number for the Do Not Call Registry - does anyone have that number? I would really love to call and complain - I have a cell phone for personal use - the number is given out to friends and family. These calls are really annoying!
- arpymoPure scam. They want you to give them your personal info. When challenged, they just hang up on you.
- Caller: Account Services
- Call type: Telemarketer
- DaveSame as everyone else: got a call at 9:30 PST. Answered without really thinking about it. They then hung up. Called back, and got the usual "the mailbox belonging to … is full" message. The name, recorded by the mailbox owner, sounds vaguely Chinese: "Mike Cho" or "Ming Cho" in a sing-songy voice.
We're screwed: these guys cannot be stopped. They hop from number to number, and obviously have no regard at all for the Do Not Call Registry.- Caller: "Mike Cho"?
- BGTwo calls in a row this AM and yesterday..... no vm left. Not sure if I should try calling back. Do not recognize the number so I don't think I will due to the posts above. Thank you everyone for reporting!
- Rhoda QuateThis guys are soo abusive. They call and call and call with their robocall message, trying to lower my credit card rates.
When I VERY VERY nicely ask them to take me off their list, they 'click' (hang up) sooo fast.
Last time they called, I asked them to "Please please do not hang up on me." and they immediately 'clicked' (hung up) on me.- Caller: Account Holder Services
- Call type: Telemarketer
- DKguySo, like all scams, there's a recording first. It said "Hello, my name is Anne and I"m calling....blah blah blah."
I pressed one, and asked to speak with Anne. I told the guy that I got a message from Anne. The guy then says "One, her name is Rachel, and two, she's a recording!"
Love it! He doesn't even know the scam he's running. I feel bad for the operators that get conned into believing they're doing a real job.- Call type: Telemarketer
- danthe 'card holder services' thing has been driving me nuts, i've played along a little.
what i can best determine is happening:
they work you into where they want you to provide your credit card # so they can verify your account.
THAT'S ALL THEY WANT! if you give it to them it would cost you dearly.
so far i can't find out anything to do but hang up,
as a criminal operation they have no need to consider the DO NOT CALL list, they create a fake call back number anyway.
when they asked for my CC # i said " you're kidding, right" they hung up on the spot.- Caller: 971-295-9768
- EricCalled my cell phone. After the recording, I pressed "1" to speak to an operator. The woman thanked me for holding and asked how they can help me lower my interest rate. I said no, please remove my number, but she hung up before I could finish.
- Dan| 1 replyMore information.
Frank/Mike Jones is calling from an AT&T phone. Call him back, press '*' upon getting voice mail and start hacking away.- Call type: Telemarketer
- CherylLike Eric, I sometimes answer these calls. I also get hung up on when I tell the operator to take me off their call list.
- keith replies to Cheri| 1 reply
- normaCalling my home number also.
- Bill| 1 replyWhen I find out who they are i will start a lawsuit against them not only for breaking the law but for disrupting my daily business activities.
- Caller: 971-295-9768
- Noelle| 1 replyJust received a call from this number 971-295-9768 showed up as wireless caller. Recording stated, "This is Ann from Card Holder Services..." DO THIS - IT WORKS...I pick up the phone and keep pressing or hold down the "2" (I'm sure can choose any number). Their system hangs up and my number is registered as a fax number. From time to time I get a call on my home or cell phone from the same company but a different number. Once I hold down the "2" , that number stops calling me. I follow up and file a complaint with the do not call registry.
- Caller: Card Hold Services
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Noelle replies to NoelleIncidentally, it does NO good to press the specified number to speak with an operator. Save yourself more frustration because asking them to remove you from their list or asking them questions about who they are just results in them hanging up on you and pissing you off more. If you try to call the number back it either stays busy or you get "this number is not in service".
- NOYBKeep getting calls from this number and all the other numbers they use... They call all hours of the day and night...It's always on my cell...It's always the same person.Just from different numbers.
Here are the numbers I have gotten calls from so far:
