Got an automated message from this number 1/4/10 at 6pm CST. It said that they have received my resume and feel that my skills qualify me for a job. It asked me to press 1 if I'd like to schedule an interview. When I pressed 1 it said all operators were busy. It then asked me to enter my zip code. I didn't enter it and it said something about not having job openings in some town in Colorado. I obviously don't live in CO. Pretty sure it's a scam. It never said the business or job title.

I've been applying for jobs as well. Got a call, didn't answer.  They didn't leave a message. I don't plan on calling back.  Too many scammers.

I received the same phone call from a company @ 6:26 PM. I didn't catch what it was that they had said except the resume part. So I hung up and dialed the number again. At this time, I received a repeat of the previous call from them. Since my husband is presently awaiting a call from his previous employer, I did enter my zip. Computer said they had a location in Lafayette, LA. (1304 Bertrand (?) Drive)and transfered me to a voice mail. Another number was given in that which I believe was 337-634-1588. I did not leave any info. I decided to look it up and check. After not finding any info in either direction with that info, I looked up the number on caller ID. and found this board.

Same exact thing just happened to me too. I was on the phone and 'they' left a voice mail exactly as described above. I think I'll block this number.

I got a call at 5:30 PM 1/4/2010.  The message left was:

"Your resume has been received by our company and we believe you have the skills and abilities to be successful. We are hiring and would like to discuss the possibility of scheduling and interview with you this week to schedule an interview. Call us at 1-888-673-4109. Have a great day ".

No caller name nor company name was left...since the message was so ambiguous I checked it out and found this site.

I got the same tonight - 1/4/2010 - Missed the call at 6:53 PM CST.  Left the same message - no company name or any details about what type of job.  I did recently post my resume on career builder but when the message is vague like that I assume it is some crap job like selling life insurance or something I have no desire to do.  No thanks.  :)

Looks like a lot of people are getting the same "Robo-Call"...

I received the same call at 18:24 hours on 1/5/10.  It's obvious at this point that the calls are generated within the bottom of the 18:00 hour block [though there were a few already reporting as early as 17:00 and as late as 19:00] so that says "round 'em up; drive 'em in; herd 'em out- Rawhide!" to me...

Job placement firms rarely do such things and if someone is applying for managerial or executive positions, they're not greeted with automatons as it's considered goesh to do so.

What insults/goads me is that this "company/firm/butt monkeys" evidently have you do is play phone tag with their automated systems- but to what end?  I don't relish the idea of having to be the one that jumps through the hoops simply to come back here & report that it's some sales or bill collector crap.

Hmmm- did a little internet snooping and just noticed something...

If you plug in the 972 number we've all been talking about- all you really get is the folks here at 800Notes- which is good, since it warns people of the potential scam that's going on...

    Get this though...

Plug into Google the 888 number- Making Sure You Include the Hyphens- and you get a huge list of "Cars for sale" by a "Bryan Anderson" and a pretty big list of vehicle MLS stuff...

Could this be the ultimate GMAC ruse to come out of this [crooked] banking establishment?  Why does this "Bryan Anderson" person pop up so often?

    I guess the plot thickens...

I received a call last night on my CELL phone.  I have a job and am not looking, so I was going to press the "9" which corresponded with "please don't call me again."  I accidentally hit a different number, which disconnected the call.  At work this morning, I had an email from an unknown company saying they had tried to contact me about a job.  The address listed at the bottom of the email was in Flower Mound, TX- but the phone call area code is Seagoville, TX.

Sorry for those looking for jobs (my husband is in the same boat), but also agree that this is fishy.  It also bothers me that the call came to my cell.  I do my best to not enter my cell phone into any website, so this concerns me.

This is a life insurance company. I actually called the number and like most of the rest of you, did not get a company name. I went ahead and asked exactly what company this was, it is Liberty National Life Insurance. They want sales people. I said No thank you!

I got a voicemail from this number as well, at 6:38 PM today. The message only said that they found my resume online and considered me to "have the skills necessary to succeed." There was no further information on the message except the number to call back, 888-673-4109. Interesting that others here say it's either Liberty Mutual or Liberty National (two different insurance companies). I've actually had numerous contacts from both of them over the past several months via email or telephone responses to a resume I do have posted online, but this is the first time I've gotten a robo-call.

I just got a call from this number at 641PM EST. Same recording as stated above about receiving my resume, pressed 1 and then got total silence. Googled the number and got this site. I am looking for work and have been now for over a year, but I must agree with everyone above that this sounds like some sort of scam. If it were a real company offering a real job, there would be someone on the other end.
