got a call saying your gonna die

got a call today 2/24/14, asked about insurance.  told them i was on the "do not call list", they said they were with the Federal Government and that did not apply.  i asked about why their name was blocked on my caller ID, they hung up.  must be a scam.

I am so sick of these people calling, 3 times a day, I tell them every time, stop calling, do they listen no someone else calls a few hrs later  today 528 pm 1 15 pm,  1014 am   How do you stop this???

Caller ID just showed Plano, TX and this phone number. I don't know who it is or what they want, and I don't care!  I will not answer my phone unless I know the person who is calling me.

Phone rang 3 times and stopped. Google search says this area code and exchange is a VoIP out of Plano Texas.  Blocked 'em.

Same thing called asking about insurance. Would not identify whom they are with. and hung up on me.. Another annoying scam..  

I waited for several rings and because I was expecting a call from this area code, I answered- the automated voice said, "good-bye."

Hey I am always getting calls from this number, at least twice a day and they never leave a message. I tried calling it back but get nothing. I would suggest just blocking the number.

No response when I answer, or rings and stops before I can answer, but calls repeatedly.

please find a way to block these calls i'm on the national do not call list. hangs up as soon as a human voice says anything! even foreign language

I got a call from this number today, hung up after 3 rings. I am also on the "Do Not Call" list.

I have received multiple calls from this number with no message multiple times in 3 days.  Complaints can be filed at:
www.fcc.gov/complaints

You can do a few things to minimize the amount of calls but you cannot stop them entirely short of getting rid of your phone.
1. Never answer calls from numbers you do not kbow
2. Never call them back to see who they are
3. Get a phone with a built in call blocker / buy a call blocking device
4. Do not pick up and hang up either
5. If it is truly important they'll leave a message
(doing 1 2 and 4 lets them know your an active number and what times to call)
I do these and rarely get calls but every once in awhile they come but still not as many. I have to delete some blocked numbers and block the new ones from time to time. The phone I have lets a blocked number ring once but the newer model doesn't even ring once when blocked. I can't remember the site but if your phone has VOIP available there is a service that utilizes that function with an always growing list to block robo calls. I am pretty sure the service is free. They are the ones who won the governments contest to end robo callers.
