- shan| 1 replyFraternal order of police. No one answered when I picked up the phone, but I called it back and let my two year old talk for a second or two. Ask to be put on no call list. I'll see how well that works!
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- Janet| 1 replySame as above. They must really think that we as Texans are willing to fall for anything as long as it is connected to the word Texas or Police.

- dallasToday must be the day for this number. Wonder if someone just bought a new burner to run scams with??? As to the FOP, I've had way too many calls purporting to be from them over the past year, and have about decided they (the police) need to investigate this bunch. I suspect the callers have nothing to do with the FOP!!! Anyway, I let the machine answer, and as usual, no message.

- Mary4:45PM Saturday - Caller ID said, "Frisco, TX". Did not leave message. I think there must be some boilerhouses in Frisco, Texas - get calls from lots of different numbers. So glad I can check here to see who else got the same telemarketing calls.

- ritaJust got a call from 972 370 3435 at 3:30 pm. No answer, but as I screamed into the phone stop calling this number I heard someone try to speak. I hung up. It was from Frisco tx.
- GaryHAvoid the TxFOP at all costs. If you donate once, they will hound you for years. Most of the money goes to the collectors, not the Police officers or their families who need it. They used to identify themselves on the caller ID, but now it just shows Out of Area.
- Caller: Texas Fraternal Order of Police
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- Togusa replies to shanHere is something to consider, even if they did represent the real FOP.
It was found that only 15% of donations went to those who need the help.
The donations that the Fraternal Order of Police solicits are meant to help families of fallen police officers.
I think something is wrong when 85% of donations get used paying for telemarketing etc and only 15% gets to the families of fallen police officers.
Keep in mind, there are other charities that handle the way they do business and have much better records regarding actually getting your donation to those they represent. If you want to make donations to help those who help keep us safe etc, check your local Better Business Bureau, do a little research and find one you know handles money well and make your donation to them on your own. - KlevOldest telemarketing scam there is . New number for same old telemarketer. Avoid.

- TelcoITmanI find some of the remarks posted about these ‘faux telemarketer calls’ amusing. I put together a software program that has logged over 380 of these annoyance calls since 2012. Those of you that let the calls roll to your answering machine, voicemail or worse yet answered the call you have just ensured you will get another of these calls. Maybe not from the same number, but they’ve just identified your number as valid and passed it on. Most of the initial calls originate from software (aka; ‘robocalls’) – once your number is identified as active, then a person may be there on the follow up calls. If you have the capability to ‘block’ the number that called – that is the best action. If you don’t have a blocking option, keep a phone with caller ID close by and simply hit ‘talk’ and ‘off’ simultaneously. If you really want to block them – there is reasonably priced software that a layman can install. Of the 380 calls I’ve blocked, only 16 have been in the last 6 months. So the message is simple – blocking works….
