- Mike| 4 repliesI actually just called Onstar to have my doors unlocked and this was the phone number they called me back from. I googled this number because I was curious where the call center was located.

- Lee| 7 repliesIve received over 90 calls from this number for over a month now.
After a dozen calls to OnStars' support representative center, which happens to be based in the Phillipines, and after having been told countless times that "My issue has been escalated and will be resolved within 24-72 hours", I called the FCC only to be told that they cannot do anything about it. I called my phone service provider (Verizon), only to be told that it was shown in their system as a land line in New Jersey, so while on a party call with my Verizon wireless rep, she called the Verizon land line rep, to try and contact the owner of the land line number that they believed to be a fax number, in order to have my number removed. Verizon land line services said that the number wasn't in New Jersey, and wasn't even a Verizon number, but was an MCI Worldcom number, so nothing could be done.
Needless to say I became verbally elevated, and called OnStar back, and asked to speak to Chester A. (Chet) Huber, President of OnStar Services.

I explained my ordeal, and was immediately put through to a top tier supervisor, who took my name, my number, and the number calling me, and put me on hold. Upon return, I was told that the number calling me was actually a backend server for OnStar that called 'random' numbers to determine 'non-active' phone number availability for them to use for their service.
In all of the other calls I had made to OnStar, I had been told that this number calling me was in no way associated with OnStar.
I would personally recommend that if people are going through the same hoops that I have to try and get this issue resolved, that we all just get together and file a class action lawsuit against OnStar for phone harassment since they are obviously not capable of managing their own databases, and servers to control this type of harassing issue.
If these calls don't cease, I am to find the phone numbers of all of the shareholders for OnStar, including the president, and I will record a loop of the squealing tone negotiation they keep sending me, and I'll send it to them "EVERY" time they call me, at all hours of the day and night.
The irony to that solution is that the FCC will probably be able to make me stop harassing them, hah!- Caller: OnStar

- RickSame situation. 'Fax' or modem (or something that makes that electronic, high-pitched squawking noise) calls my cell phone, then calls again about 6-10 minutes later. This happens 2-3 times a day. Has been going on for about a month now. Called the number, and On-star recorded message that it was a non-working number and gave another number for On-star's customer service. Called that number and got shoved around for way too long. Was told eventually that the calls would stop, but, of course, they did not. Not sure what to do. My carrier can do nothing. The company that is listed on an 'internet phone number look-up site' for this 'land line' in Plano, TX is MCI. Called them, but they can do nothing as well. Not sure what else I can do, but put up with it. Should be illegal and there should be some sort of law suit that could be brought up, but not sure how that works. I would be very interested in jumping on the class-action band wagon to get it to stop (and maybe sue the living CRAP out of the entity that's doing this). How is it that the FCC can do nothing about this? Love the idea of calling the OnStar people with a recorded squeal. Tie up their lines 24/7.

- fraynes1Last two nights getting calls from 972-372-1723, first at 3:30 in the morning and tonight at 6:30 in the morning. They called both nights twice in a row and can hear high pitched squealing like a fax machine or modem.
I work shift work and have to keep my phone on for work. Also, I live in Canada so don't know why they are calling my number.- Call type: Fax
- JeffThis number has been calling my cell phone at all hours of the day and morning, and just beeps in my ear.
- Call type: Fax
- GracieI have been getting calls around 3:00 am. One was this number and the other two nights said "unavailable". I don't want to turn my phone off in case there is an emergency, but I may have to.
- CMC cell| 1 replySame deal here, repeated calls from a fax machine all hours of the day and night to my company cell phone. I think I'll just have to just start faxing back to the number an all black cover sheet with reverse type to explain the error and maybe eat up their ink cartridge.
- genevee ferguson (round rock tx)I have been getting calls from this number since dec 22,, sometimes it is a private call sometimes it is with-held but everytime I answer it is a fax machine ring. I am getting them more frequently up to 4 times a day sometimes one right after another.. at ALL hours as well which prompted me to research the number.. when I *69 it says its a nonworking onstar number (something along those lines) and sometime sit says it cannot connect me or whatever being that it is an international call etc etc..
Im fed up.. I dont have the time to sit on the phone all day and resolve this issue since I work and this phone is in case of emergencies with my kids in school.. and my family living out of town.. my heart stops at 3am ! its annoying and like many of you all.. I cannot turn my ringer off..

- EmilyI keep receiving fax calls to my cell phone from this number at all hours of the day. The last one was at 4 am today. And it leaves a voice mail!
- CMC Cell replies to LeeYou can count me in on any class action law suit. I'm getting the Onstar bureaucratic run-around and getting real sick of the constant fax calls.
