Not a call, but got an gift wrapping scam e-mail from christopher.dugan@jcpenneycareer.net with this phone number listed. Here is the content of the scam mail:

I got the same message from a Ronald Winkler but he had all my detail, how did he get them.

Mine was from a David Thompson. Did someone hack their application pool?

I received same message and info from a Robert Fields.  He has all details as well.

Got email message same as the other people that complained here from a Ronald Winkler. He had a copy of my resume and offered a gift wrapping position as well. The same day a mass email was sent from my email address to everyone in my contact list. It even sent the email back to me even though it had supposedly been sent FROM me. I do believe it had a program linked with it to go thru your contact list.

Yes I got same message from Mark Brellis HR Manager JCPenney...he had my whole application and left me a number which kept running busy also now i have a new message from him that I need to fill out complete application ......that is how they get your complete identy and can make a new identy and take what little credit and money u have left. DO NOT DOWNLOAD APPLICATION  YOUR IDENTY WILL BE STOLEN IF IT HAS NOT ALREADY.......I THINK HE GOT MY  RESUME FROM NARMS OR MOBSTER.COM  those are the only two sites that I put my resume out there never thinking  someone would take advantage of my jobless nature. have been out of work for over a year ...have NO money

Got a few emails from Christopher Dugan with all the same info as you all have posted. I have no idea how he got my resume either!!  I am sick with this too...out of work, husband and daughter both are disabled....why the hell would they do this?  [***]......

I got the exact same thing from the same guy!!  Sickens me too....I called around though and found out it was a scam cause it wasn't sitting well with me.  I don't know how he got my resume though....but now he has it and it has my email and phone number and address on it.....ugh.  Sorry this happened to us and so many others.

I actually must be really gullible. I have actually been doing this. I only put up a red flag because I was told that I have not been paid yet...Will I get into trouble. I have been shipping those items with no thought that this was a scam...Can anyone help me?????

I gave these people my bank info. Its overdrawn right now but should I change my banking info????

i got the same email what other information does he have I also will be contacting the irs or gov because im so scared that he will be using my info.  why did this have to happen.

Same here, got an email from a "Gerald Kowitt HR Manager" offering me a gift wrapping position. The red flag for me was the area code of the phone number was not local for me. It's crazy that they had all my resume info attached in the email! I think they got it from monster.com, that's the only place I've put my resume other than state job service. Ridculous.

YES!! If nothing else, at least alert your bank and put a stop on any transactions initiated by that party. But, I would change everything. From experience, it's easier to prevent identity theft than to pick up the pieces afterwards.

Did any of you guys post your resume on a job seeking site? I got the same e-mail and was thinking maybe that's how they got my resume?

If you are applying for a job, naturally you are going to make your resume public for all to see.  That's how they get it.  I got the same message.  No one offers anyone a job until they interview.  Of course you will know right away it's a scam.

Just got that email and new the number was fishy.
