This number has been calling me and hanging up. Caller ID says Texas State Troopers. Yet the number is originated from New Mexico. I am unable to recall number as it will not go through. Local law enforcement agencies say it is not a part of TSTA. I do not know who they are. Apparently they are legal because as I said Local law enforcement has heard of them but not in association with TSTA. I just want them to stop calling!

Just got a call from this number too. DO NOT CALL ME!

I just changed my cell # and the same day this number 972-496-2217 calls me 3 times and does almost daily since then. I  call back and either it is busy or it just rings and rings. When i answer they just hang up. its driving me nuts!

I have been called about six times today by the number 972-496-2217. Every time they hang up. The caller ID says State Trooper.

I received a call from this number however they did not leave a message on the answering machine.

call with no message at about 6:00pm caller id said state troopers from the number 972-496-2217.

I also got a call from this number 972 496 2217. Those MF stroopers is really wasting taxpayers' money.

I received calls from this number numerous times and want them to stop calling me.

I received a call from this number on my cell phone and did not recognize it so I didn't answer.  I waited about 15 minutes and tried to call it back and it just rang and rang.  No answer, no answering machine.  I came home and did this google search only to read all of these comments.

This number has been calling me daily up to 5 times per day.  Caller ID says State Troopers.  They never leave a message.  I just called them back and someone picked up the phone and started dialing.  I blocked the number and within minutes, I received a call from Caller ID Zackar Vanmeter 463-622-8747.  I answered and it was THE STATE TROOPERS!!!  I tried to block this number and it won't block?

I got a called 3 times in 2 days from this number. 1 time one day and 2 times the next day.  The second day last call I answered the phone not looking at the caller id.  A man told me he was calling about my time shares.  I told him I am not interested in time share and do  not have any. After I hung up I looked at my caller id and it said State Troopers 972-496-2217.

So, these are time share callers.

If it wasn't for your post on Google I thought I was in some type of trou ble; Let me tell you what happend; I went to renew License and the same day I got a call after I gave the DPS office all my information like phone numbers and stuff; Normally I apply on line but this time I went in and now the calls won't stop; thank you for giving people like me heads up

I got a call from (972) 496-2217 which is from the general area where I'm staying, I also thought there was some kind of problem. I did a reverse look up on the number and it just gave basic info with no name. It said the call was a land line from Collin county in Plano Texas. The caller id also said state troopers.

They want you to donate money to the fallen officers fund, they are not state troopers , but a telemarketing company that keeps a pecentage of what funds they raise for the troopers as payment .

The guy that I talked to was all intimidating like a cop, so I asked "are you a cop?"  He replied: "no" I'm helping raise funds for them"  me = "They have insurance!  get [***]!"

called and i was on other line. no message was left. attempting to find out who they are. wish me well.

This number is a fraud so beware!!! I hope you can put an end to this unlawful activity.
