I believe this is coming from a prison inmate trying to reach you, is that possible?

Message stated "A collect call from a correctional facility." 972 area code leads to Texas and I am no we're near Texas nor do I know anyone from there.

It is a national company that handles inmate calls from all over the USA. It will refer you to an 800 number where you can set up an inmate account if you wish.

It can come from any prison, not only in Texas. I have an inmate from Huntingdon State Prison in PA who calls from this number as well.

i got a call from this number saying an inmate wished to speak with me but i had to add minutes because my account was empty and it asked for my credit card info and when i got done entering it all the call hung up.

It from someone in prison cause my friend is in Ridgeland SC Correctional Institute so the call came from an inmate

called yesterday and today,asked would I accept collect call,hung up.

The number 972-535-3499 has shown up on my cell phone 5 times in the last 4 days. I "do" unfortunately have a relative recently incarcerated exactly 4 days ago. From what I gather from previous posts here, the call is originating from a jail. If this number is asking for credit card info to allow us to speak to inmates, I will refuse the call.

got a call saying my brother was in jail in texas didnt say which one had his name and everything but the whole time hes sitting in his livingroom watching tv with his kids in north carolina is it posable to find out whos doing this and how they are getting there info

Inmate call...national company that routes them through the US.

It's not a scam, it is a call from prison. The credit card is just as usual for any call from a jail or prison you have to put money on an account for the call to charge to , OR, if your phone is a land line, just accept the collect call charges. Theres no other way to receive a call from a jail or prison.

I have received calls from a jail and when I enter my credit card information the phone would disconnect and I never get a chance to speak with my brother. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is there some technical difficulties?  How can I request a refund?

Does anyone have that 800 number to call. My call failed in the middle of her speech

I am also getting a call from this number I don't know who is calling me because it does not say a name. I am curious though and would like to add minutes but won't do it through this number I  would definitely rather call the 800 number myself to make sure it's legit. If anyone has this number please post thanks.

It's a legitimate inmate calling service  it's  asking for information when u fail the 1800 number that it gives you to add minutes when the inmate is calling u it's the easier and faster way I do it all the time

thank u made it clear to me any i block the number cause iam not about to pay collect for no one be there done that,and what did I GET A CHILD COMING OUT WITH DISPECTING ME,AND THAT A DONE DEAL GOT NO TIME FOR INMATE
