If I ever pickup I'm going to my State's Attorney General.

Calling job telling someone that they are going to be arrested and need to know what hours are and that your job is now involved.

That is the recovery department for ACE Cash Express.They are wanting you to pay off your loan or they will file a case against you. They will call your work and friends and family to get a hold of you.

A gentleman identifying himself as, "Mr. France" is calling me at work and also my friends at work stating that he is "conducting and investigation" and that it would be in my "best interest to contact him immediately in order to resolve this issue". Um excuse me? I think I will call him back via an attorney and make sure he knows he cannot present himself as something other than what he is - a minimum wage bully sitting in a boiler room trying to harrass, threaten and coerce individuals into what he wants of them.

972-550-5069 x7724 "DeMont Mathis" calling my office repeatedly...lying, saying he did not have a home phone number for me, demanding payment, making threats, told me to "get yourself a lawyer today, because I am filing a case against you" ... Threatening to seize my paycheck, etc.  Ultimate hostility.  What a hateful individual. Not only that, but he called my house this morning at 6:21 a.m. My head is pounding after he tried to rip me to shreds over the phone.  He is implying that I will be arrested for writing a check that was returned NSF.  We went round and round.  These people push people to suicide with their threats, demands, and harrassment.

If you get an attorney, perhaps we could start a class action lawsuit against these people...  It looks like they are engaged in some illegal collection activities.  My head is about to explode after trying to deal with "DeMont Mathis" on the phone during his 6:21 a.m. phone call to me this morning.

I received a call at work from "Damont" @ ext 7724 and when I asked him not to contact me at work anylonger, he then asked to talk to my supervisor.  I adv him I have spoken to someone in the collection dept at my job since he has threatened to talk to my manager in the past & they advised me that it is against the law for him to talk to my manager.  He told me that it is not against the law & he will talk to my manager or even to my district manager if he needs to.  When I asked for his manager he got me to someone who sounded exactly the same named "Simon" @ ext 7572 who hung up on me when I asked for the fax number to send cease & desist letter.  HMMMMMMMM  Is this Legal?????

after several threatening calls from Demont at my job, I finally got advise to tell him to stop calling my place of work and that he cannot talk to my manager/supervisor as he has been threatening b/c it is against the law.  After telling him this, he then stated that he will call my manager as well as my district manager & he does this for a living & it is not against the law & then he hung up on me.  When I call the number back I asking for a supervisor, I get trans around to people who sound exactly like demont until I get hung up on.  I know I owe them, & I have told them as soon as I get my back-pay for money that was taken from me I will pay them, & it was not intentional.  I am waiting just as they are.

mrs. hernandez called asked for me, not knowing it was me, sounded very angry, so i asked what was this in regaurds to. She then asked me who i was, i then explained that the employees here are not allowed personal calls. Then she asked to talk to a manager or supervisor. I did transfer her, but me and my supervisor are close, so no biggy. anyways right after that a blocked number came up on my caller id at home. my husband called to tell me. I have privacy manager.

Just a bit of advice...if you send a cease & desist letter, send it via certified U.S. mail; don't fax it.

Keep this mind: after you send them a cease & desist notice, they can only contact you one more time as a response to your letter. After that, they can't legally contact you again regarding the debt.

This doesn't affect your plans to pay back the debt. It merely means the collection agency must stop making attempts to contact you.  Also, if the collection agency is threatening you in any way, it's possible they are violating laws. If threats have been made, you may want to consult an attorney about possible civil damages.  If you don't have an attorney, contact your local county bar association for a referral, or you may find an attorney through the National Association of Consumer Advocates website -- www.naca.net

I spoke with Damonte as well. He stated that he was coperate and if i didn't pay the amount in full he will take further steps.  Also asked to speak with my manager, the vp of the company, and hr. I went to hr myself and they gave me a cease and disist letter to give them. So I will mail that out asap. I have also filed a formal complaint with The Attorney General.

mrs. diggins, called said my case had been forwarded to her my mrs. hernandez. She called earlier to ask for the address, and she already had an attiude, then when i answered the call again, she asked for the owner of my company, THEN SHE CALLED back, she said she need to verify some information, i verified it, then she got load. i then told her that this is my last day at work. and she got loader and yelled some more then hug up on me. Is this leagal, and shes going to mess up my refrences.

Try getting calls at home for a totally different person from these people.  I've been getting them for 5 years and despite every rational attempt I have made to deter them or at least have them verify the information from their source - they continue to call and harass me. I have 3 documented calls to 972-550-5069 wherein they "assured" me that they would correct the problem but it would probably cost more to take them to court than it would to just put up with them. Thank God I don't actually owe them any money :)

I received several calls from a Simon. And set up a arrangement that he consistantly changed in favor throughout the phone call. He eventually called my manager and my manager stated that he could not give any information about me, lol. I called him back and he stated he gato all the information he needed to continue this case and "i wish you the best of luck". Has anyone contacted and attoney about these guys I would like to get on board with a lawsuit against them.

Today was my first call from Demont Mathis..he called from his home number, and left a message, saying it was in my best interest to return the call immediately, as he was making a "final decision". I called back the number he called from, but whoever answered said they hadn't called me. Weird.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! It seemed there was no way to contact Ace other than the customer service numbers, and of course like most people, once you get a rep on the phone, they won't give you even the name of the company, much less address. The reps I spoke to talk over you, don't answer questions, and continue talking. I don't know how they expect people to be able to call them to pay on their accounts if they don't shut up!

My daughter who doesn't live with me is the one who owes them money. But they have called me before 8:00 am and after 10:00 at night; I have told them it's the wrong phone number and asked them not to call me, but they just try to talk over me so no one will hear that my info is the wrong info. I would contact an attorney but don't have the money to do so, so I am sending letters to the BBB and to the FCC, to at least see if they can do something. Here is the FCC info:

On Mon., Jan. 28, I received a phone call from Mr. Wallace at (972) 550-5069. The message was for my daughter. In the message, Mr. Wallace said that my daughter would go to jail if she did not call him back immediately. He said the call was regarding her criminal record and that he would not be responsible for the police coming to her house to pick her up if she didn't call him back.

Can you give me the address so I can mail a formal complaint to the Attorney General as well? Thanks.
