Computer tech scam dont bother answering.

I have gotten 10 calls in the last day and a half from this 555-0179 # using different area codes each time. I just called the # back using my work phone and all I get is a busy signal. I block each # that calls.

I've just received a call from that number. A guy spoke to me in English with an Indian accent. He didn't bother asking me if I spoke English, I live in the French-speaking province of Québec, and just went on about a virus that had infected my computer, and each passing day was terrible for my computer. He said he was my Windows provider.

When I told him that his call was a trap, he said, "You'll see 'Mam when your computer crashes", and then hung up.

Same scum different Spoofed number  - 972-555-0179 Caller ID "Texas" - Typical scum bag human sewage scam call...
Hit the big red button on the call blocker and added the jerk call to the blocked list...

Tempting as it might be it's best to NEVER answer these turd's calls and engage them - it only puts your number on the autodialer's "call more" list since it confirms the auto dialed number used is a "live number" with a possible sucker on the end...

Too bad there is no listing in the "Call Type" that actually matches the real manner of the scum making the calls - there should be at least "Scammer" in the list....  Some where there may be an actual valid telemarketer making unwanted calls...and that's the only case that "telemarketer" really fits...

Just got a call from this number saying they were National Grid and I got a reduction on my bill, then they asked me if I could grab my old phone bill so they could verify my account number. I told them my utilities are included in my rent and they hung up. The guy spoke english but had a heavy english accent and went by the name of John.

They called a friend of mine living in the UK ! Indians with tech support scam.

They called to tell me there was a problem with my computer and wanted me to get on it to help me solve my problem. The woman on the phone had an Indian accent and claimed her name was "Rachel Smith." I asked what company she was calling for and she said the name of the company was Solutions for All. And that they were the service provider for all windows operating systems.
I tried to get more information about why she was calling me and she eventually hung up on me. Also, this was an area code 938
