they answer as CitiCard, but then under scrutiny admit they are CitiCard Collections.  My number "isn't in their database" and that's it, no help, serious attitude.

They now answer CitiBank

My husband got a call from this phone # at work.  Some girl named ashley wanting to talk about our home depot account.  Funny enough she did not know the account # and then asked for my husbands SS number.  Forgetaboutit, she was not going to get that.  I called the # on the back of our homedepot card and they said they have no notes about anyone trying to call us and we have a 0 balance.  So I tried calling the 972 phone # back and the first thing I got was a recording saying this phone call may be recorded, then a live person came on and I would not give her my account number but she said, Oh, this looks like our texas office, so I asked to be connected to it and I wanted to speak to this ashley, she said that was not possible, they must have 2000 employee's.  I asked if all of them was named ashley and she just laughed.  I am no further ahead of trying to sort this out but be ware, if they call you they should know your account number, do not give out your SS number ever to anyone.

Just received a call from this number.  Left a voicemail message that said, "we're sorry to keep you waiting".  Then hung up.  Didn't mention any company or name.-

Just got a call from this number, which appears to be in Dallas, TX.  They hung up when my answering machine picked up.  I don't have caller ID, but I used *69 to get their number. I called back and first got the "this call may be recorded" message that someone else here mentioned, then that switched to a "all operators are busy" recording, which is when I hung up.

They call back to back two or three times three times a day. Thats 6-9 calls a day and they won't leave a message. I'm not answering an unknown number.

Got several calls from this number while at work and didn't answer until today.  They have never left a message and the guy gave me some serious attitude about how my citigroup card is past due $130 and that he was going to take down my routing number and bank account number.  I don't have a citi card and none of my accounts are past due that I am aware of.

These jack legs keep calling my cell phone number - I've called this number back and I get Citi Bank.  They actually left a voice mail looking for some guy named Michael Borden.  I've had my cell phone number for at least 15 years.

I get calls from this number 2-3 times a day.  They leave a message - in Spanish!

I have received numerous calls from this phone number.  Idiots.
I don't have a Citicorp or Citibank card or account.  Had to call them back on another number-which I recommend.  Don't call then back on the number they called you at.  I reached them in the Pacific Northwest-they refused further details and wanted my SS# number an account number.

These people call either with a recording with an "important call" or someone will ask for the owner. I ask if I may take a message but they will not tell me anything about why they are calling or leave a message. These calls happen almost everyday. VERY ANNOYING!!!

I just called them back after hearing they have been calling my daughter's (a minor) cell phone 6-10 a day from multiple numbers.  Irving Texas location and Amanda said she would flag our cell phone to not be called....we'll see if this really happens.

I've got the call today. Picked up the phone and they told me to hold the line. Who has the nerve to call me and then tell me to hold? Anyways, it was this number, and the 972-6453-1000. It is CitiGroup collections. I forgot to pay my Home Depot card so they were annoying me. I didn't talk to them though.

I don't know why they just set their caller ID data to reflect it's citigroup, or at least, a 800 #.

Came in at 16:21 on 4-14-07 with CTI shown. This and other sites advise is CitiBank collections, others experience Home Depot card comments. They left no message or call-back number on mine.  

I also noted two other calls on 5-14 and 15, using the number 972-653-1000 with CTI also shown on caller id.

Well they said they flagged my daughter's number to NOT be called yet the calls started again today.  I called and got to a manager, but those employees are so stupid I couldn't possibly write all here....THEY HAVE NO CLUE HOW IT WORKS....yet she was a manager.  We should plan a week for everyone to just call them all day long...make sure you find there toll free number for ANYTHING and just call it....some Russian (Estonia) said the Russian are doing cyber crime by massively requesting information at their e-mails and web site...sounds like a plan?  "Dear Citi I am calling to know what your phone number is?"....hahahahahahahahah

Number (972.655.0010) came up on caller ID on my work phone but I was unable to answer. A voice message of 6 seconds of what sounded like a call room in the background was left.

I keep getting a call from this number, and others that are very similar.  My caller ID has CTI on it.  Every time I answer, I get dead air or some stupid announcement thank you for holding, your representative will be with you in a minute!  If they would just have a person answer right away, then maybe, just maybe I could take care of this issue once and for all!!!
