- ShermanCTI called to collect. They might be calling for various companies.
- Caller: CTI
- Call type: Debt collector
- WH| 3 repliesThey've called 3 times today alone. Rings 4 times. Never leaves a message. Don't believe for a second that it's a bill collector. Any legit company would have ABSOLUTELY NO REASON to ask for your account number !! They would already have it ! They called you, you didn't call them. DUHH ! Think about it. It's a bunch of crap ! Anyone who gives them ANY info is a FOOL with a capital FOOL.
- moved w/o forwarding| 7 repliesThis is real collection company. They asked to verify certain information so they new i was the correct person to be talking to. But yes this phone number is 100% real and i suggest to anyone who doesnt want to ruin their credit to listen to what they have to say. peace out!!!
- Call type: Debt collector
- non replies to moved w/o forwardinglol-YOU MUST WORK FOR THEM! BTW, I got their annoying a$$ # on my caller ID today.
- MelThey keep calling my mobile number. They have never left a voice mail.
- Some DudeCalled several times today in regards to my CITI account but knew non of my information asked right away for my social security #. I've never given my cell phone # out to any of my credit accounts. This person got very defensive when i asked for him to verify who he works for and what account he was calling for. He then said HE was going to end to call because I wouldn't give any of my personal information to "verify" who I was. I'm not behind on any of my accounts so there is NO reason for any "bill collectors" to be calling my number AT ALL!!!!
- Call type: Debt collector
- Annoyed in New YorkThis number keeps calling for a person who does not live at my number. I am not able to talk to anyone only push 1 or 2 to say that I wish the message in English or Spanish. Default is English. The recording leaves a number to call; but, when I Google it, I get " your search did not match any documents". How do I stop this? Does anyone know?
- Caller: Unknown
- Deborahnumerous calls on my cell and no messages left
- wen in miaI have rec'd several calls on my cell with no messages...
very strange - docmjn| 2 repliesI get calls from this number every day serveral times a day. I never answer and they never leave a message. I'm on the do not call list registry as well, yet this is clearly in violation of that. I answered one time and they claimed to be from some company(sounded like office depot) and were looking for someone(unrecognised name) who wasn't me. When I picked the number for the option to report that they had the wrong number, it said hold on for an operator in order to correct this info...yea right!
- Caller: Office Depot
- Call type: Telemarketer
- TamiThey keep calling and calling. The answeing machine answers and they ask me to push 1. They repeat twice and hang up. They call at least 4 times a day if not more. I finally called the number. they wanted me to set up a payment authorization. It was an automated voice messaging and they didn't say what credit card they wanted me to make a payment on.
- Caller: CTI
- Call type: Debt collector
- dbowthree days very intense 5 or more times a day. They left automated message for first time. They claimed a bill but I have no such thing with CTI. I will NOT return call. I surely suspect the one "real" claim about these to be like reback, a co-fraud person with them.
I have filed StopCall.gov complaints against this number. I advise anyone one else to do the same.- Caller: "City" or "Citi" or "CTI"
- Call type: Debt collector
- SoCal JohnGet infrequent calls from "CTI". They never leave a message, nor answer the phone if you call them. Is this some kind of goofy person or persons with WAY too much time on their hands? I don't owe a penny to any creditor other than the bank on my mortgage. WEIRD!
- Caller: GTI
- Sue Em replies to WH| 2 repliesCTI is an UNPUBLISHED landline out of Irvine TX. ANY (REAL) collection agency would never ask you to punch in your account info before speaking to anyone. It's a bunch of crroks scamming people to steal and use their personal info for themselves. Call the nunmer and they identify themselves as CTI CARD????...No legitimate colection agency or other has an unpublished number.
- Sue Em replies to Sue EmSo I received another call via call-waiting from this 972-655-0117 idiots a little while after posting here. Soooo, I called the number back, and after telling the computer that I speak ENGLISH, because after all this WAS America once upon a time. A female comes on and says CTI Card. I ask WHY the hell do you keep calling me 8 times a day and always hang up when it is answered? Her reply was that my number wasn't in their data base? HUH? I told her that I know the number is an unpublished Irvine TX. number, she immediately replied that she works for CTI Banks "Gas and Credit Card Division". (We all know legitimate Businesses have listed numbers) After some back and forth blah blah, I told her I was a lawyer (I'm not)and am recording the call for future legal action and have orderd my phone carrier to use the call trace service, she immediately hung up on me. CTI is (NOT) the well known CiTi Bank.
- Sunshine| 1 replyCTI is CITICORP credit services.
They are are not a scam. Citi "group" is the backer of many different credit cards. If they are calling you, you slipped on a payment as I did. They are very friendly and helpful. I noticed the calls on my caller ID and called them back in intrest. No I dont work for them, my account to a local jeweler is backed by them.
And NO they are NOT a collection agency. If you deal with them, you are fine. If it goes to collection you will have an issue.
Reading these "who called me" sites are such a joke. If they are calling you you owe them money. OR they have a wrong number. Most the people here just flip out on all this, its just a phone call, not the end of the world.- Caller: CTI
- Samantha| 1 replyThis is a real company. They handle lots of store credit cards. It isn't collections, just a placement agency that handles past due accounts. They did not need me to verify anything, just told me that a card I held was past due.
- Caller: CTI
- DisgustedCalls 4 to 5 times per day. "If you are __________ press one. If you are not __________ press two. DUH!
- Fed-up| 1 replyMy 87 year old mother is getting 7 or 8 calls per day from this number. It is driving her crazy. She does not, nor has she ever, had a credit card. How do you get these calls to stop? We are "Fed-up".
