Keeps calling, won't leave a message, could be a collection agency as am about to file for bankruptcy protection.  ???

Will call but not say anything. They will breathe sometimes even laugh and then hang up. I am not in any financial trouble so I don't know what the issue is here.

It's Citi Bank financial mortgage co. We have a mortgage with them. It's an automated reminder message. Does that track with you all? Do you or have you had a mortgage with them? I think this is it.

It is Citigroup calling to remind you that your mortgage payment is due. Same as above - ours isn't considered "late" until the 16th and they start calling on the 10th every month - even when it's already been sent in. It is annoying.

Citigroup/Citifinancial Mortgage.  They call it a "courtesy call" to remind you that your mortgage is due, and they will continue to call you EVERY DAY until it is received - even when you are not yet late (we're not late until after the 16th) and even when you tell them the date you will be making the payment.

Received a call yesterday on my land line, and today on my cell phone. User name unknown.  If it is Citigroup/Citifinancial Mortgage, my mortgage is not overdue, as I have until the 16th of the month to pay my mortgage without penalty.  Also, I pay them bi-weekly, and should actually be ahead of my payment schedule.

I was told by citi rep that
they had no control over this
that the computer calls all the numbers automatically

This is a reminder call from Citifinancial Mortgage that your mortgage is due.  Mine is due the 1st of each month, but I have a grace period of 15 days.  They begin calling on the 10th of the month even though I have set up an automatic payment every month for an electronic funds withdrawal on the 14th.  I've never been late in paying, so I assume they are just concerned / nervous about the current economic state and all the foreclosures.  Of course, CitiGroup was right there with hands-out for THEIR bail-out money.

Received 2 calls today on my Cell phone, did not answer as I did not recognize the number.. If this is Citifinancial, I don't know how they got my cell number???? And I always pay my Mortgage on time....

Never leaves a message and I refuse to answer calls when there is no message left day after day.  These collection agencies and so called Collection Agency Attorneys are a joke.  We must know our rights under the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act of 1979, the government needs to set guidelines to these sort of unethical practices

got a call from 972-657-1470.  Automated voice stated we were late with our payment.  Husband called the call back number 1-800-374-8814.  got a foreign man who asked for our account number.  told him he didnt have it.  man asked for his SS#.  (we are NEVER asked for our ENTIRE SS# only the last 4 digits).  told the man he didnt feel comfortable giving that info because he needed to find out if this was a scam call or not and the man hung up on him.  Went online and got the number for citimortgage (1-800-283-7918) gave operator the number we were supposed to call and she looked it up in their system.  it is NOT a citimortgage number.  we are in the process of filing a fraud charge against the caller.

I just started getting these calls.  Nothing is ever said, it just hangs up.

I do have a home equity loan with CitiMortgage, and like many others here, it's not even due yet.  Very annoying.  I'll do a Call Block on it as I work from my home and cannot be bothered with nonsense calls.

Caller leaves no messages. I saw where it is a spoof number meaning it it is not the number calling

I am really getting tired of thes people calling me.........I pay my mortgage before it is pass due.....these stupid people have nothing better to do than call 4 or 5 times a day until the payment is paid even when it is not late. I have until the 15th but it is paid usually by the 7th of every month. I even got a call the same day they got the payment..........stupid right.

I got an automated message supposedly from Citi.  Having gotten two phone attempts at fraud recently, I hung up and called Citi's customer service line.  The man I spoke to said that they don't employ an automated reminder system of that sort and that as far as he knew, it was not legitimate.

Got several from this number this morning. No msgs left. Afternoon, the same number. I answered. He said I owe $300+, past due? ??? What? It is not past due. And IF it is, it should be several thousands. I asked him about a recent call to CitiMortgage, and is he helping me with that? He said he will look more carefully on the account indo. Then promptly hang up. I called back. "The number has been disconnected". Must be a scammer.

I just got a call from this number this morning.  On my home phone it said Texas 972-657-1470.  I usually don't answer any call when the caller ID is that vague, but today it did.  The recording claimed to by CitiBank and said that I was late and that I had to send in payment.
My mortgage is due TODAY (not counting the grace period) and I have it automatically drafted from the checking account.  I checked with my bank and it was automatically drafted this morning - therefore not late.
I pushed the button to get a "representative" and I got a woman who kept saying "Hello?"  Hello"  "Who is this".  I replied, "You called me, who are you?"  She then said that the computer gives her the account number, but I would have to verify it.  I told her that this sounded like a scam and I was going to hang up and report them to Citi.
I just did that and Citi confirmed that my mortgage is up to date and there was no reason for anyone to call me at all.

This is a scam call CITI first!
