Caller left message with a crazy message that was very fast-paced and hard to understand.  He threatened that a "summons" and "bench warrant" would be issued if "documentation" was not provided. Called the number back and it was the same voice. The man would not identify himself.  After I threatened to call the State's Attorney's Office and report him, he hung up the phone. I blocked calls from that number.

I also just got the same call from 972-890-9012 from a Mr. Jackson stating I have a summons and that I will be served at my place of employment.  I also called the number back and it went to his voicemail.  He then called me again and when I told him he could talk to any attorney he gave the phone to his "supervisor" names Mr. Norton.  I told them to stop calling me and they hung up.

Received a threatening phone call from a one Mr. Jackson. Fast paced, hard to understand, told I would be served. Disappointed with actions through Ultimate Staffing. A company I have not worked for in nearly 2 years. Left with no altercations or problems.

Got a call from Mr. Jackson also.  he left a voice mail saying that I have a summons and will be served at my place of employment.  I didn't call back...I have gotten calls recently from other numbers implying the same thing, but can't get a straight answer from them about what they are calling about.

I got a threatening message too, despite not having any reason to get one. He did ask for the wrong person, and claim my officer would be wearing black shades and want my (wrong) social security number. Creepy scam?

Several government agencies have been warning people about various "extortion scams" being worked by telescammers.  Your call may be one of them. Read about some of those scams, report them, and learn how to protect yourself, here:

I did email a couple of the sites, to see if they can help.  If its a scam like everyone is saying, how do i stop them from calling people like my parents and harassing them.

Many phone companies now have a privacy option (you do pay extra for it) that answers your phone with a machine message stating you do not accept solicitations and telling them if they are calling for some other reason they can press a number or a couple of numbers to continue the phone call to ring your phone. It still allows a real person to get through, but it makes automated calls to your phone have a difficult time, and most of the spam calls are done through automated phone dialers. Call your parents' phone company and see if they have that option available; it may help.

I got the same call from Mr. Jackson, looking for my father.  He was very fast paced in his speech, but he was trying to be polite.  He said he had papers that were trying to be served to my father, and it was very important that I get my father to call Mr. Jackson back.  He also said now that I answered the phone I wouldn't be bothered anymore, but I doubt that.  I'm not sure what the point of this is - he said he had sensitive information, it was probably to serve my father court papers, maybe a court date, and that he had his social security number (although he didn't say it) and all his personal information in his possession.  I have to say, if this is a scam, it's a scary one.  I know who I owe, and who I don't, so it was a little scary that this was for my father.  I really hope this is just some type of scam, and from what I've read on here, it sounds that way.
