call to my cell phone Aug 14, 8:00pm. No message

Intellirisk Management, Their website says they handle telemarketing and collections.  They also have a rip off alert at ripoffreport.com, also know as Allied International.

Caller specifically stated that she was with the Veterans Administration in Oklahoma City and was calling to verify data from my file and even paused to pull up my information. She did not ask for new information.
She verified home address, phone, City state and zip code. The caller seemed so legitimate that I failed to check her caller ID name which turned out to be "PRIVATE NAME". Later in our conversation she admitted that she did not work directly for the VA but was a contractor for them.
So there were inconsistencies in her identification. I called the VA Regional Office who verified that the VA does not hire independent contractors for this purpose, and they told me to report them to the Better Business Bureau, who is now investigating their false identification to the consumer. Lesson: Always check the caller ID no matter what. Better yet, let your answering machine do the work for you!

Got one from these guys today. Same type of details as Sam above. I talked to the folks at the OKC VA who told me the same thing about reporting it to the BBB. They have tried to get me to respond to them for several months. They will call for awhile and then stop for weeks and start again. I do not answer or respond to them.

Left a message saying they were with Direct TV.  Don't think so.

Called me at 630 in the morning, I don't know of any collection agency that can call at that time in the morning. But I don't think they are one either. A legitimate collection agency that is.

they keep calling my cell phone and saying they are with direct tv and verizon and they arent even looking for me they are looking for thomas somebody, wth, i already told you i dont know anyone byt that name..

My mom got a call on her cell from this number, the person said nshe was from direct tv.  She wasn't. Don't answer their questions.

I received a call today saying the where direct tv wanted to verify my personal info like my ss# and address. I got angry so she transfered me to direct tv. direct tv stated that they dont have no one call to verfiy any information . Do not answer any personal info when this number call you its fraud.

Got a call today saying the are with Direct TV.  They had all my Installation information and address.  I too failed to check the caller ID. When I hung up that something was not right, checked the message and the phone number was not legitimate, but disconnected.  Lesson learned.  Thank God I have Identiy/Credit Protection!  Sad that people make a living at this...
