Apparent phishing call at 6am today purporting to be from windows technical support.
Similar call at the same time yesterday.

Caller says he is from Microsoft tech support in Florida. Logged into my computer! asked for $200.00 to remove a virus.

Did you cooperate with him, let him into your computer?  

If you just spoke to him you're fine.  But if you let him into your computer you need to turn off your computer and take it to a local computer repair place.  Your caller probably left malware so he can monitor your actions and steal your passwords.  He also downloaded your email contacts list, more potential victims.  

If you do on-line banking or similar you need to change all of your account numbers.  Do it today, before the caller has time to spend all of your money.  Call everyone on your contacts list and tell them what happened.

Got a call from them at 4 AM this morning. Says they are Microsoft Technical Support. They just called again at 10:00 and tried everything they could to get me to bring something up on my computer - kept them on the phone for quite a while asking them to give me my computer ID, software license numbers, anything that could prove they were from Microsoft. Of course they couldn't do that. They said that my computer uploaded a message to them that I has malware on my computer, and that I would be totally unaware of it. They even made up a computer ID number which was BS. Hopefully by keeping them on the line for a while I kept them from ripping off someone else.

Called me today. Started to say I had something wrong with my computer so I HUNG UP. PLEASE!!!!grrrrrr

They called me twice this week, the first time i didnt answer and today I did for him to tell me my computer has issues. We went back and forth over him being a scammer and me not having home computer. Claimed to be from Microsoft and tried making me tell him I really had a computer and if he was a scammer he would just hack my computer. Was very pushy.

Called at 5 a.m. Waked me up to tell me I have a computer virus. F'n goof.

They are SCAMERS

Received a call from Rainna Anderson 973-537-1598 who wanted to fix a virus that only he could fix on windows.  He wanted me to log in to my computer.  I ask him if he knew what computer I had and he said no so I as him if he thought I was stupid or what and he said no so I hung up the phone.  Trying to phish!!

He told me my computer was downloading illicit content. I asked him how he knew what my computer was doing. He said something about a satellite. I told him to call back and speak to my husband. Now we will know not to answer next time.

Received a call at 6:22 AM . The man said he could fix my computer - I hung up the phone --- Give me a break that is crazy !I
I am on the do not call list but it sure dosen't stop the calls from coming !

Got this call at 6:10am this morning. Woman was very persistent....and I was livid that she called so early. Finally hung up on her.I'm on the 'Do Not Call' list but evidently that doesn't stop them....

Man with Indian accent, lots of "call center" type background noise, called at 10:15 today. He was very pushy, flagrantly denied being a telemarketer, and tried to get me to follow his instructions for a Windows Run Command. I spent about 10 minutes jerking his chain..."I don't have a computer, or running water", "just cleaned my windows yesterday, they are squeaky clean", etc...but I don't think he got the jokes (cultural barrier, maybe?). Anyway, I finally got stern, told him not to call again and to take me off his not-a-telemarketer list. He proceeded to call right back 2 times (I let it ring and ring) then tried 4 times in a row from "Private Number". Persistent little scammer!!!!

Recieved a call from a male that sounded as if he had an Indian accent (picked up after 3 missed calls throughout the day).  Caller claimed to be associated with Microsoft  and after I told him it was a scam he asked what I was going to do about it and then made a few derogatory comments.  Just be aware that they will try to phish and gain access to your personal information (bank account numbers, passwords, etc)
