keeps calling and hanging up

PCR showed on caller ID caller said call was being recorded was looking for nichole madeiros I said was not here caller insisted asking if I knew her  when I responded angrily he said I was yelling at him I then hung up

This is a collections agency

several calls a day, no voice, no message. Seems like harassment to us.

This number keeps calling multiple times a day and don't leave a message.

Male called asking for someone, replied no one lives here by that name, male repeated the person's name, replied again non one here by that name and to not call here again.

my little bro keeps getting these calls and we cant stop them and it gets annoying he forgot to put his phone away at school and it got him in trouble what number is this??

So I got a call from them today, and did get a message. She said she was calling because I was listed as a "referral". She never said who I was supposed to be referring, or about what (job, etc.). She left an 800 #, but I did erase the message. Screamed SCAM from the get go, definitely a collection agency..

Repeatedly calls me and never leaves a message. I got this phone three years ago from T-mobile and the previous person to have this number had bad debts and they still call me to this day even though I tell them it's not her number anymore. Probably trying to call her since you guys say it's a collects agency.

I called this number back from my work phone. Definitely a collection agency. Pioneer Collection Agency out of New Jersey.

I have been seing this name and number on my caller ID for a while but no message was left. Today I was home to answer the call. The lady on the other end was immediately rude and overbearing. She was yelling and sounded unprofessional from the start of the conversation.
She claimed to have spoke with me before as well as, my bf and roommate. I know for a fact that this was a lie since they never use my private phone or answer it. This lady had also contacted a neighbor and said I left their name as a contact number. This was also an out right lie. These people sound like a scam. Does anyone know how to report them?
I should go buy a recorder because i think this justifies harrassment!

I keep recieving phone calls from this number. They leave no message, but yesterday they left a recording of gunfire. Nice. Hey, PCA [***], if that is a threat, I would enjoy introducing you to a friend of mine at Provost & Umphrey law firm. Please continue this form of harassment. Thank you....

A live female voice called asking for someone I do not know and never met.  They asked for that person to call them back at 1-800-514-1262 and to ask for a certain extension number and reference #.  I belive these calls are backed by (authorized by) Sallie Mae as I received a call from a bill collector several months ago asking for a Male with the same last name who owes money to Sallie Mae.  I told them to stop calling me as I do not know this person.  They said they would. HA HA!  I am about ready to file a lawsuit against someone!  They told me several months ago that they got my phone number from a skip tracing database.  Sounds like a pretty lame excuse.  This sort of random calling should be outlawed.  How much time and money are these people wasting of those they call who have nothing to do with the debts owed!

They have called and asked for me..then when I tell them this is me talking they said my son put my name down as a referral. I said to what? they said they couldn't tell me. They asked that I give him the phone number and referral number and that they could help him and make him happy. I told them I wanted to know what my son did to use me as a referral. He again said we cannot tell you..I told him well I guess I cant give him your message then.
They called back again today. wanted to know if this was ICT department..I told them no that they had called the previous day and I had the message to give my son. Well guess what. I thru it in the garbage. told them never to call back again as my son is 26 y/o and didnt live there. The guy said well we need to get his number or contact info and I told him GOOD LUCK!

Just got a call from this phone number; did not answer. Immediately came to this website and got all the information I needed.

PCR  from my reading has to do with the court system in New Jersey

I've never/ever been to New Jersey let alone know a person in trouble with any court

I think this is a phishing scam to get personal information

Yes, Pioneer is legitimate.  My ex-husband has student loan debt with SallieMae.  Even though my name is not on the loan as a borrower, over the last 6 years I've gotten random calls from many different call centers trying to reach my ex. I repeatedly tell them to remove me as a reference, but I still come up in records from data mining. Pioneer was very polite and professional with me today, I'm sure in response to my own patient demeanor.  

Ask them exactly what needs to happen to get them to stop calling you.  This will often reveal a lot more details than reacting in kind to their aggression.  Ask them to remove you unless they can email documentation/proof.  But once again, data mining will turn your name up again.  

Scan and email your court docket / credit report (black-out or copy-off your SSN. It IS helpful to leave addresses or DOB, since they can get these through public records anyway it's not really private information).  I'VE DONE THIS!!! Child support arrears that weren't mine, I've never had kids.  The addresses on my credit report verified legitimacy of my court docket and who I was.

You can try reporting harassment to your Governor. If you have an Iphone, you can save numbers to a "black list" so your phone doesn't even ring when they call.  

Sucks you have to do the work, but hanging up and doing nothing certainly won't do any good, eh? Just don't get sucked into their anger and arrogance. They win every time you get pissed, yell, and hang up.
