Received call 9/20/2007, 8:42 am from 973-675-7514.  Caller-id registered it as William H. Brown.  I researched it and it was listed as stated, in Orange, New Jersey.  Alias listed was William Browns.  (Plural last names are typical identifiers of scammers from Nigeria or Ghana).  This was unsolicited, and believe it was from a scammer who victimized me, named "Brian Jones", supposedly new to Atlanta, but who went to Accra, Ghana buying gold bars, and is now stranded.  The call was typical of the time that he normally calls.  He uses other numbers in the US to "connect" his calls to me.  Normally, he calls from a cell phone, 011-23-324-952-7500, service provided by MTN (formerly Areeba) in Accra, Ghana.  (Billed name is unknown since he probably is not Brian Jones; however, if I knew the billed name I would know the identity of my scammer). Another cell is 011-44-703-183-9268, and is probably a forwarding service number to hide the true physical country location he is in.  Scammers/terrorists purchase/use numbers that are not in service to contact their victims and also I have been told that they can purchase area code numbers for that purpose.  I was informed by a Fraud Agency in the UK that the 011-44-7** numbers are actually "forwarding services" that the fraudsters/terrorists use to accomplish their mission and trick their victims into believing that they are in a country other than the one they are actually in.  If any of this sounds familiar, please contact me.
