I work for a Children's Hospital - Callers from this number represent themselves as calling from Humana.  They supposedly want to get update information on physicians at our hospital (I think for a members directory). I do not have / and can not give them the info they want and I have told them so numerous times. Yesterday alone I would not be exagerating if I said they called at least 20 times.  At one point I put them on hold to answer another call and would you believe it was another member of Humana calling.  I have asked to have our facility placed on a Do Not Call List several times.  The third time I made request was this morning when I received my 2nd call of the day from them.

I live in Texas and my husband is a physician. We received  calls from this number  many times,and when I ask the  woman( she has Indian accent) where  and  what state is she calling from, she said, it's from Texas and they are a health care ppo company ( I know 973 area code is not from Texas)and  wants to know my husband information to update his profile. I refuse to give any information over the phone and ask to send any inquiries through U.S. mail( She already knows  our address!). After she hung up the phone suddenly I call the number immediatly(from the call ID) this number has been disconnected---VERY SUSPICIOUS!

I received a call from this number at 6 in the morning, but no message. I am a psychologist.  Yesterday, someone also called and left a message that I could not understand, except for the words "Humana" and "call back."  They did not leave a call back number.

computer message: Caller identified himself as Sam from Humana wanting to update some medical directory (I am not even in the medical field). The number on the caller id has been disconnected so you can't even call them. They just say they will call back when it is convenient. As far as I am concerned it is never convenient. I have made complaints to the Do not Call government web site and I suggest you do the same https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx

i received a message on my answering machine from this number and it was from a man (indian accent) called from university group medical association, he said my 2 year old sons name and stated he would like to speak with his parents. he also said he is affiliated with the hospital my son was born in and asked for me to call him back at 973-780-1167 and provided me with a refernce number....very strange!!! havent been able to reach him as of yet.

Got the call, they said Hello (in an Indian accent) then they got disconnected.  Obviously using a false number (here in the US) while they sit in India makeing the phone call.  It took a few seconds for them to Respond once I said Hello.  I called the number back, and it was disconnected.  So, what ever, who ever these folks are Fake and are trying to get information.  I did notice that they are looking for medical Info.  Strange as it may be, My Phone Number was a Doctors office Phone Number, so, I get calls all the time from patients, and vendors of medical supplies. They must have gotten a hold of a Medical mailing list.  I think that the companies that give personal/or public information out that has the intent to be used in an unlawful manner need to be held liable for any wrong doing these folks cause or create!

I have received at least two calls from this number on my cell phone.  The first caller left a message stating he was from Humana-that was the only word I could understand. No message has been left after the first call

Just received several calls from this number. They wanted to know if this number was for a physician's office or a residence.  Strong foreign accent.

A gentleman with an Indian/Hindi accent wanted information on a physician in our group. I hung up ... he called back three times and each time he called, I hung up!  BOY did it FEEL good.

Got a call that according to caller ID was 866-331-6256. Asked our office to call back 973-780-1062. Sounded like a native English speaker, saying that they needed to confirm some information for an insurance company that sounded like "multigen" (?) - it was unclear that part was mumbled. To add to the authenticity they gave a long patient referral number. Sounds like a scam to try and get doctor's social security numbers.

Got call from individual with foreign accent asking to get updated info on my business for Humana.  They read off my address, phone, etc., then read off a number and wanted to know if it was my Tax ID.  I told her that I do not give out that kind of info over the phone.  She immediatly said she had enough info and humg up.  I was suspicious so I called the number on the caller ID.  Of course it was disconnected.

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist and received a call on my office line from a female stating she was calling from MultiPlan Verification Department, 973-780-1074, and wanted the fax number for my Patient Billing Department.  The number she had called also serves as my fax line, so I contacted the 1-866-331-6256 and repeated my fax number.  I haven't heard a word since, but did a "Google" search on MultiPlan.  The headquarters is in New York.  Sounded legit, but I only give out business line and business address information.

Just received several calls. Each time I answered, there was no one there. I called it back and received the disconnected message. Then, I let it go to the machine, they didn't leave a message. I answered again and someone with a strong accent asked for Dr. something or another and I told them they had the wrong number and to stop calling this number. The caller ID said "Bloomfield NJ" and the number was 973-780-1062. We do medical marketing here.

Yes, received from this number also.  It is an insurance broker who tries to get a discount on bills on medical personnel not in the network and considered emergency so the insurer cannot consider out of network.  I never accept, as the broker is just trying to get their commission.  It is Muliplan

I had call from the woman has indian accent she has my husband #ss our fax number and tell phone also! We live in new york my husband is physical therapist.

Got a call this a.m., left a long message on the machine asking us to call the 866 number above.  Calling on behalf of Multiplan, and she said she's Kathy and calling on behalf of an insurance claim we've made, and gave a long reference number.  She was looking for our fax number.  My husband is a doctor.
