frost - 3 Jul 2008i also received a call from these people. its a new jersey number and i'm wisconsin. doesn't make any sense... my intro to my voicemail is very short so i'm guessing they didn't get a chance to hang up. the voicemail i received was a long silence (a minute or so before i deleted it). perhaps an automated service?

kc - 11 Jul 2008Got the same thing. Call and then no voicemail. Maybe a phone company ploy to run up our monthly charges. Or a test of the viral network or our society to respond to an unsolicited response! Better yet, maybe it's an automated program building a database for a cell phone telemarketer.

MsLB - 17 Jul 2008I received a call from this number mid morning. He claimed he was calling from sprint--that I had had my phone for over two years and had a free upgrade due me. When I questioned him, he hung up.

KellyBelly - 30 Jul 2008I called Sprint to find out if they could tell me anything about this number. It is a 3rd party telemarketing company calling with promos related to Sprint/Nextell service. You can call Sprint to request "Privacy Preference" which will stop all telemarketing calls to your cell phone. I hope this helps.

hobo34 - 30 Jul 2008I received the call and answered on the second ring. I could hear people talking in the background but no one talked to me. I called it back and got the not a working number recording. Last week I got a similiar call that I missed from 973-864-3684.
