This was NJ State Law Enforcement Fund. Basically a guy says he is sending two booster stickers, and he wants a pledge of a certain amount of money. Very smarmy, sounds like a typical telemarkerter.

I've received calls in the past from the NJ State Law Enforcement Fund as well.  They called today but didn't say anything, it was just dead air.

Received call, but when I answered it was busy signal.

Unsolicited call. Did not answer. No message left.

Received call 4/12/14. No message left

Doosh calls at almost 9pm on a Saturday.  I let him rattle through his entire spiel.  

DOOSH: "Can we count on your support?"

Me: "No F*cking Way."  Then I hung up.

On 4/12/14 at 7:50pm the phone number 973-947-7005 appeared on the caller ID with Whippany NJ below it (even though a search shows that it's a land line in Newark NJ.  This is the 3rd time since 4/9 that this number appeared, so I Googled it & found postings in www.whocalled.info so now I'm  posting my experience in the other webpages that came up in the Google search results.  Now I'm glad I didn't answer the phone!  Also, read the articles in the links that poster icapricorn (above) posted & you'll see how long this type of "fundraising" has been going on.

Thank you all for your posts!  I have received these calls as well - no message is left.  I appreciate having this site to access to affirm that this is another scam contact.  I am on the DNC list, which doesn't prevent these low-life A**holes from scamming.

Same thing happened to me. Wish we could stop these calls.

Human controlled fake/modified voice machine.  I would not trust!!  Probably scammer since voice needs to be faked.  Should have asked him to do a Darth Vader impression.  "Where is the secret rebel Base??"
