I heard lot's of beeps when I answered.

call received 1330PDT and nothing there; no voice, no fax, no beaping.

Answered, but there was nothing there.  CID said "INTEL".

on 7/18/07 CID showed INTEL (973) 993-3000.  No message left on answering machine.  Traces to NJ.

calls 2-3 everyday....this is straight out harrassment.

I called that number back and I just got a busy signal
showed up on my display as the number and "unknown name"

Got a call, no message left, called back: busy, area code is NJ, googled the number and got this as a direct hit:

Got a call from 973-993-3000, no message, appeared as unknown caller.  Called back, busy...

I got a call from this number as well
picked it up seemed like someone hung up on me

But guess what checked it out on the internet found this number for intelTel: 800-755-4444  Everyone please contact to complain ASAP

I am the live person on the other end of the toll free line that Sue posted above.

A company is sending the faxes is using a computer system to "spoof" the call detail to reflect 973-993-300. "Spoofing" makes a caller identification system display either all 000's or a different number than where the call is actually coming from.  If no number or an apparent incorrect number is being transmitted then you will need to file a police report in order to get an accurate trace by the phone company. Keep in mind that the practice of sending solicitations by fax without permission is illegal so the police should open a case file and give you a report number.

We have contacted the FBI and the FCC, and apologize that there isn't much more Dialogic can do.

I too am being harassed by this number, twice a day most days.  I don't answer nor do I call them back.  I plan to call 800-755-4444 to complain. I signed up on the Do No Call list, but they managed to get through anyway.

Hi Deb,

It's not Intel or Dialogic calling.  It's a company who has spoofed the number and is trying to spam via fax, so I am not sure if the Do Not Call registry will help you.  We've contacted the FBI.  There is not much more that we can do.

Got a call today again. No message left. Is it an IP phone trunk number?

rec'd call about 4:30 pm this date from 1--973-993-3000 - picked up, nothing or no one  appeared to be on other end..........annoying as hell, as this is happening very often.

I am in Saskatchewan, Canada. I received a call from 973-993-3000 Sept 26, 2007 at 4:38pm. I heard a beep then a click. No one on the other end.

Answered phone, no response on other line, but remained on the line.  Put the call on speaker phone and silenced continued for about 33 minutes, then I hung up.

Just moments ago I received a telephone call from this number.  Since I have caller ID, I have the option of screening my calls.  I then typed the telephone number, with the area code, into GOOGLE and this is the first page that came up.  I REFUSE to take calls from people I do not know!  Yes, the calls are annoying, but I have one rule, IF the person calling does not have an identifialbe number I don't answer the call.
